  1. Can't really argue with any of these picks. I hope I see Turner quite a bit. I also want to see the back-up RBs....I mean i love Rex, but I'm excited to see how the young guns look.
  2. Martinez keeper goes 70+ yards to the house mirroring last year's start offensively.
  3. They haven't even played 30 mins of football yet. Hold the phone people. We haven't even played either. Wisky will be plenty tough.

    Year Four

Exactly. That sums it up for me. 2008 - #4 Mizzou & #4 OU -- Final Record (9-4) 2009 - Texas Tech -- Final Record (10-4) 2010 - Nobody. We were on the verge of winning every single game. -- Final Record (10-4) I hope that this is finally the year where our offense keeps up with the consistency our defense plays with every game. Once our offense can keep it together the ENTIRE season, we will be back.....i mean REALLY back. I see us losing a couple this season for a number of reasons 1. Martinez still hasn't proven his throwing ability and overall leadership at the QB position. 2. Our O line is young and inexperienced. Also one of the most important parts of our offense, especially on a team that depends on the run and protection for our QB with terrible pocket presence. 3. It's our 1st season in a new conference. If we were to run the table and win the conference title in our 1st season, that would be the headline of the CFB season. They would be talking about it on ESPN forever. As much as i would love to see it happen, the rest of the B1G won't let us do that.....at least in year 1. 4. WRs are still unproven. Kinnie showed flashes of his talent as a receiver last year, but that's just it....flashes. We need consistency bigtime at that position. Kyler Reed is our only receiver that has been consistent with catching the ball. If Martinez is smart, he will be looking for Kyler a lot. Bottom Line --Bo has this program moving in the right direction. We've improved every year since he's been here and I think that this season won't be a letdown in that regard. Like I said, I see us dropping a 2 (WISC, OSU, MSU, NW, IOWA?) who knows? 2011 isn't the year we compete for the title, but I really like the chances of competing for it all in 2012.

Only K-State would think it's a good idea to have a 12 year old girl as your football mascot.

  5. http://kegsneggsblog.com/2011/08/30/meet-ecokat-k-states-new-interesting-mascot/ ENJOY!
  6. Thanks a bunch, Knapp! Much appreciated!
  7. Nothing better than seeing a team rising from the ashes. SUUUUUH!
  8. Thanks a lot, bro. Was just about to fire up NCAA 12. Whew!
  9. Diamond would be amazing. Simply a great way to put a lot of talent on the field. I want our WRs to get better and think that it's vital that they do, but our RBs are much better than our WRs right now, and if we use this formation properly, we have the chance to put a lot of talent on the field at the same time.
  10. Wherever he ends up playing, I think he will do well. Has anyone else seen his highlight film from high school? pretty impressive in the open field. Just another reason I can't wait for the season to start. ONE WEEK!!
  11. Sad to hear this. Good luck to him in the future.
  12. The option is great. I have no problem with Nebraska embracing the option once again. I obviously don't know what to expect from Taylor this year, but last year he seemed to use his atheltic ability and speed to make up for his poor reads in the zone read play. I would really like to see us embrace the Oregon type offense, without the ridiculously high speed aspect of it. Mississippi State has a great offense that we should model ours after IMO. They run the spread, but they are a run/option dominant team. I think, with the right people in the skill positions, the opiton is a tool that's vital to success.
  13. You can edit what appears in your feed. just click the x in the corner of a post you don't want and it hides it. Just sayin.
  14. The diamond formation would be awesome. OU used it frequently last year and they didn't do too bad offensively.
  15. It's hard to say. Alabama, Auburn, and Arkansas are all breaking in new QBs and LSU has off the field issues (also the toughest schedule in college football). Nobody out of the east really looks promising other than South Carolina. I would say Oklahoma, but they always seem to find a way to slip up somewhere. Oregon has to play LSU right off the bat and also has to travel to Palo Alto in a rematch with Andrew Luck. It would be great if Nebraska made a run, but being an realist, I don't see us running the table in the Big Ten our first year and winning a title. That's a ridiculously tall task. I hate to say it, but this could be a year that Boise State gets their shot at the title, and dare i say it.......Notre Dame might even be in the discussion. Bottom line, I'll believe it when i see it.
  16. He's not a terrible lyracist. i mean what do you expect when you can only rap about nebraska football. that doesn't leave you many options artistically. The fact that its over a beat that has been used for just about every wanna-be rapper alive today forces me to hate it. I can't stand Black and Yellow remixes personally. Especially because we aren't black or yellow. Big and Red don't even sync up with the song. The two syllables in Yellow don't sync up with the one syllable in Red (just in case you really wanted to know why it sucks).
  17. Seems like Kinnie would be a good fit for Offensive Captain. A vocal senior with leadership qualities (mostly off the field).
  18. Complete agreement. Until we prove it in Madison, I'm not judging.
  19. What I liked --The rap --The hard work --The dedication --The stadium night shots What I didn't like --The sidekick --The chant --The quality --The overall feel of the video It just comes off as lame to me...
  20. Watched the 08 Texas Tech game at a wedding reception. The groom couldn't resist. They got a projector and played it on the wall. Needless to say, after the game, the kegs were empty.
