Definitely our tamest alternates yet, which is fine. I think they hit the mark this year. I'm happy Adidas has established that not every alternate has to be totally new and covered in CHROAM!

The numbers looked like they will have a mesh design, but the jersey itself will be the usual Adidas tread pattern from what I can tell. Jury is out on the pants. I would be totally fine without stripes. We'll see tomorrow.

I almost forgot about his blocked punts from a couple years ago. He was all over the place! We need to bring that back this season. I'm having a hard time figuring out why he's projected to be a backup, especially after leading the team in INTs last year.

Oregon will go through their own growing pains with a new staff and system. They return a ton of talent/speed on offense and the defense has nowhere to go but up after firing Hokey Dokey. The guy they hired worked wonders at Colorado last season.

I think people are sleeping on Tanner Lee. Obviously there are other factors at play, but he's a major unknown, even to a lot of Husker fans. He could be the next Sam Keller. He could be the next Zac Taylor. I tend to lean more towards Zac Taylor, but I've been drinking Kool-Aid since birth. Nothing to do but wait and see, unfortunately. And I love how people just assume that the defense will take a step back because we're shifting schemes. Correct me if I'm wrong, but we just spent another offseason trimming the fat and hired a top shelf DC in his place. I know the scheme change won't be a seamless transition by any means, but I don't think we're going to suffer like the national guys say we will. Oregon should tell us quite a bit about how good of a fit Bob Diaco is at Nebraska.

I know the new social media age will skew the perception, but does anyone remember a recruit with THIS much hype? He can no doubt play the position and has shown time and time again that his head is in the right place. It just seems like a foregone conclusion that he's going to be the next Ralph Brown and start at CB as a true freshman.
