  1. Just imagine if the '99 team had won the natty, then we would have never heard the names Callahan or Riley, smooth transition from Solich to Frost.
  2. This is such a close match-up, both teams were good, have changed my vote to the '96 team but could end up changing back.
  3. Yeah, YouTube TV (https://tv.youtube.com/welcome/) was really great, lets you choose your favorite teams and it records the games for you. Has the major sports networks (BTN, ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU/ESPN News and Fox Sports/FS1/FS2). Free trial and $49.99 a month.
  4. 08/31 - South Alabama W 09/07 - @ Colorado W 09/14 - Northern Illinois W 09/21 - @ Illinois W 09/28 - Ohio State L 10/05 - Northwestern W 10/12 - @ Minnesota L 10/26 - Indiana W 11/02 - @ Purdue L 11/16 - Wisconsin L 11/23 - @ Maryland W 11/29 - Iowa L Big Ten West Division 1. Wisconsin 2. Purdue 3. Minnesota 4. Iowa 5. Nebraska 6. Northwestern 7. Illinois Last year I went with 8 - 4 and of course was very disappointed. This year, keeping my expectations in check, going with 7 - 5 feels safe and anything more than that is a bonus. This is my worst case scenario, best case (and what I am rooting for of course) is undefeated and going to the playoff.
  5. But, neither did Frost at UCF and they were able to beat a very talented Auburn squad (who beat Alabama). Sometimes that is what good coaching does, it overcomes the talent gap. We may have our first coach in a very long time that has that ability, need to wait and see but what he accomplished at UCF was pretty amazing and the way we ended last season was a good sign.
  6. That is almost where I would be: #1 - 83 #2 - 93 #3 - 82
  7. I'm going to go with 3, moving from Frank to Frost would have been golden.
  8. Still love that quote: "After his Ohio State team escaped with a 36-31 win, Urban Meyer said, "I get that that was a two-win team, but that's a two-win team that people don't want to play right now." " A win would have been even better, but I'll take it.
  9. A commitment today doesn't mean much until they sign their LOI and by then, Ohio State and others in the Big10 will have already been whipped by Nebraska. If we are able to pull off a 10 win season, some of these recruits might just have a change or heart.
  10. Kelly is good, but Frost is better, too bad he will learn that down the road when we haul in a natty while Notre Dame is getting blown out in every bowl game as they have done so many times in the past. Good luck to him!
  11. Oklahoma/Oklahoma State or Kansas/Kansas State would be cool. Texass can go back to the Southwest and play with themselves.
  12. Do you remember the last time Ohio State ran a pro-style system? I'll give you a hint: And I can tell you one team up North loved that guy.
  13. Referring to another recruit we lost to Ohio State.
  14. I think our lack of success over the last few years (or more) has a big role in some of these kids decisions. Why play for your average Joe when you can play for a team contending for national titles? This all changes with some success.
  15. After this season (and a lot of wins), the sky is the limit, the 4 and 5 stars will be looking to Nebraska.
  16. Looking like we are going to have to pull in some 3 stars and JUCO's to fill the holes for at least this recruiting cycle (hope I'm wrong). We beat OSU and win the West (maybe the Big10) and more of these recruiting battles will start falling our way.
  17. I remember all of the excitement leading up to last season, and the way it began. Keeping my excitement in check this time. Less than 7 wins would be a disappointment. 7 wins, acceptable (and my prediction) 8 wins, good 9 wins, great 10 or more wins? Ecstatic.
  18. Wow, a lot of Big10 schools, seems like that is the league he wants to play in. We might have a very good shot with this one.
  19. Maybe he meant his dream of playing for a former OSU line coach? Close enough, maybe.
  20. Thus, the reason for the wording, which did not include the word none.
  21. We won't be pulling too many away from the Ohio States, Alabama's and others until we start winning. Win 10 games this year and watch out NCAA!
