  1. I'm generally a big fan of all our WRs (injured DPE included). Plus we have a QB who seems much calmer in the pocket and on the field and who is more accurate. I know it's South Alabama, but this offense looks to be a smooth operation so far. We really needed a game like this to build confidence. Nothing against S. Alabama, they're a fine team, but Nebraska needed a game to play like this in.
  2. Get the coverage on the line. The soft zone isn't working.
  3. Come on Cockrell you know that's gonna get called. edit: I don't agree with it, but they are gonna call it.
  4. And swing passes. When you give them 10 yards free underneath they are going to take it. We need to get up on the line and play bump and run.
  5. Do our corners plan on covering somebody this year?!?!?!?
  6. Nice start boys!!! Let's keep it up and pour it on 'em!!!
  7. Offense Establish the run game early and let that lead to a more balanced offense. This will make the passing game more efficient and deadly. O-Line rotation. The offense had the screen game setup really well, just missed quite a few of them. I'd like to see the timing get better on that. Quicker developing running plays, especially on short yardage situations. No intentional groundings from Tommy. He played well, but turned his back on the play a few times. Just needs to remain calm. Also the OL could help him out by sustaining a few blocks. Defense QB pressure. We weren't very consistent against BYU in this department. Better pass coverage. Way too many yards were given up last week. I know they had big receivers, but that's no excuse to play 3 steps behind them. Turnovers. We need to start forcing turnovers to win big games. Special Teams Field goals being made. Kicking isn't an easy job, but we need to be able to hit a minimum of 2/3 of FG. Tyson did okay with the punting last week. Hopefully he gets a lot of practice with it this year. Overall the coaches probably didn't know what the team would look like on the field in week 1. Now that they have had a game with them, I think we'll see a better team this week.
  8. That zebra crew was garbage. They couldn't even tell the teams apart. If anyone one of us did our jobs that poorly, we'd be done. No reason they should be any different.
  9. I'm with you there. That crap was downright infuriating to watch. Then they wondered where all the holding penalties came from when they asked the OL to block to the sideline. I disagree with your point above about stretching the field though. Tommy was able to hit the deep seam pretty well last year. That kinda play keeps the safeties back and the LB respectful of the pass game.
  10. I think Nebraska struggling offensively is very possible. However, I think we have enough talent and athletes that big play potential is always there. We can stretch the field with our wide outs and Armstrong has shown he can hit the deep ball. Our backfield is also capable of the big play too. You don't want to just rely on big plays, but that potential alone should help the offense. If our defense can fix the tackling, they will be one of the best in the conference.
  11. At least it's not the SEC I guess.
  12. So just advertise a #00 jersey and have the user select which number they want. Can't control what numbers are bought then and your not advertising any player past or present.
  13. LOL yeah so apparently Wisconsin is shiny, has curved corners and is two years late on size and features...
  14. I like them. The only thing is white cleats with an all black uniform?
  15. 11-1 votes. They made their beds. Life in the B1G is far greater than the BXII.
  16. Went to the Minnesota game our first year in the B1G and planning on that one again this year. Also went to Ohio St. @ Minnesota in the snow last year and that was a blast. The atmosphere at MN isn't as good elsewhere, but it's still fun and the stadium is amazing. Also, you have to try really hard to not have fun in the Twin Cities.
  17. This is just offseason chatter. But maybe someday?? Don't understand how Texa$ and the PAC 12 would be a good fit....... Any port in a storm.
  18. This. If this had been fixed under Pelini, the conference titles and big wins would have followed and he would probably still be here. It's also not fair to say Riley was hired because he was the "Anti-Pelini." I think he was a highly qualified coach first who just happened to have a different approach than Pelini.
  19. This is starting to get stupid. +1 I don't think Apple gets to take the moral high ground here. Aren't they still abusing the Chinese work force?
  20. Don't know about 7 remake, but yeah SE games are on Steam. http://store.steampowered.com/search/?developer=SQUARE%20ENIX
