Well I would imagine that teams are allowed a set amount of time to warm up. If a lightning delay happens, wouldn't they still be allowed to have that time to warm-up?

To be fair - we might not have this feeling if we hired Frost right out of the gate. Although Riley was bad for Nebraska, the mediocrity he brought to the program while Frost was building something special at UCF, is part of the reason why we all feel this way. Even if we go 7-5, so long as we look like a football team and that the football team reflects the people of the state, I won't care. But I would be lying if I thought we were going to lose to every one of the Big 5 teams (Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio State, Iowa, and Michigan State).

Every 3 years the scheduling Gods bequeath us with a gauntlet. This year it is @Wisconsin, @Ohio State, @Michigan, and @Iowa 2021 is a 3 game stretch of @Oklahoma, @Michigan State, and vs. Ohio State 2024 is a 3 game stretch of Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State. I love it.

Judging by the some of the players' reactions, I don't think there were sides.

I think Frost and Co want to get the most out of AM. If that meant losing TG and being perilously thin at QB for this year, than so be it.

Yep - if you're thinking 4 years down the road, you're missing what's in front of you. What's in front of Frost and Nebraska is a really talented, athletic, composed, mature QB. Very excited for AM.

I understand his decision. Obviously, he felt like he put in the time and work and wasn't that much different than AM. To not get the nod would discourage anyone. As nice as it is to stick it out for the team, at the end of the day he has to look out for himself and his goals. If he doesn't believe he'll reach those goals here, then by all means he should leave. However, he isn't far away from being the starter if AM goes down with injury or underperforms. I would at least stick it out for the season - you lose a year transferring anyway.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say this season's offensive line will be one of the better offensive line's we've seen this decade.
