  1. I thought I read somewhere that he was firmly committed to Pitt.
  2. Baker was a one-man wrecking crew last night! It was also good to see Chase Rome back at it. I live near Missouri country (east of St Louis), and I am always happy to get players from the state. The key to our season being special is the big boys on the O and D line. Lets hope they continue to get better and excel.
  3. Tom Mulhern from the Wisconsin State Journal writes the following regarding the 4th and 1 play : That’s when confusion set in. Tailback Montee Ball wasn’t expecting a handoff, thinking it was going to be a bootleg, so he ended up fumbling after getting the ball from O’Brien. “It was designed, the quarterback was supposed to pull it and run around the other side, so I wasn’t expecting the ball at all,” Ball said. “I wasn’t looking at the handoff at all. I’m looking to dive over the pile to make a great fake and apparently the ball was in my hands.” Ball said the play called was “lonesome,” which is a naked bootleg by the quarterback. O’Brien said the confusion because of the look he got from the defense. He saw the cornerback and the safety to the outside, so he didn’t think he could run the bootleg. “The confusion was whether it was an automatic keep, or the option to keep,” O’Brien said. “I think we saw a few times earlier in the game, they were crashing down on it. ... I just saw the corner and a safety wide, looking at me. I thought we were going to run the run.” Even so, O’Brien took full responsibility for the miscue. “You can say anything you want but I think any time there is a miscommunication on that front, it falls on the quarterback,” he said. “I told Montee, I take 110 percent of the blame here.” Read more: http://host.madison.com/sports/college/football/badgers-football-botched-fourth-down-play-seals-cornhuskers-rally-from/article_54f83928-09fa-11e2-9f70-001a4bcf887a.html#ixzz27wH3nHI4 I say our overpowering defense had the right play called and EXECUTED perfectly!!! GO BIG RED!!!
  4. Should Rex Burhead redshirted? IC is the real deal!
  5. Yes, and ole Mr Rogers was a Navy Seal, and killed several men in that vocation, and he was highly decorated as well. The reason he always wore the sweaters was to cover his tatoos. A great American with great swagga as you say!!!
  6. Ah hello! I would say our crowd was in it after the Marsh/RB fumble deep in our own territory. The 12th man made a difference, and ISU didn't score. I beg to differ with you. I thought that was a major plus for our crowd. GBR!!!
  7. I read that's what they do. Throw it 50-60 times a game. I read that's what they do. Throw it 50-60 times a game. I hope they don't get more than 70 offensive plays!
  8. Is he postponing or cancelling? Big difference! C'mon Priest. We had a Prince (he did pretty good)...we need a Priest!!!
  9. I think Banderas will be a dominant LB.
  10. I never thought Carnes had the "it" factor for QB. I wondered what Carnes was going to do when he found himself the 4th option. I am glad he is sticking with the program and trying something different. I hope he gets some playing time.
  11. Are you kidding me? Bo picks the help. He has surrounded himself with GAs and inexperienced coaches. He has made his bed, I for one hope he can right the ship. We are not very competitive against BCS teams and that has to change.
  12. Has our defense gone retro...2007 retro. C'mon Blackshirts...let's go!!!
  13. $3.1M per year buys me a sore throat on Sunday morning and a lack of esteem behind enemy lines. I am sick of Bo and his inexperienced BOyz. Let's get somebody in here who can coach, recruit, and restore Husker Nation to the elite!
  14. Can they tackle cause our starters cannot!
  15. How can you not give the O Line anything less than an A? I guess our pipeline is "walk-on based." Whatever works!
  16. That is okay. Let's continue to improve and sneak up on the top position!
  17. Outstanding hire! I like it. Corey who?
  18. He gone! Just a matter of time. Geez!!!
  19. Good riddens, Corey. Wasn't overly impressed with you last year anyway! Really didn't care for you throwing the players under the bus. It was your job to prepare the players to do the job. I just hope Bo has a coach (like Marvin Sanders) to come in and improve our secondary.
  20. We better have some silent commits, or this is going to be a really depressing Wednesday!
  21. Crap, I'd just be happy to even be admitted to Stanford. After all, I started my college at UNO, finished at Maryland, and then got a Grad degree from OU. Prestigious huh?
  22. Like I said earlier, I really don't care whether or not we get this guy. Now, I am sure we don't want him. We will have our chance to play against him. NU D will rule UCLA O...mark my words! GBR! Oh yeah and go get Curry. He probably would love some DF pie in the next few seasons!
  23. in my opinion, and i will say this about any recruit, if they dont wanna compete then we dont want or need them. competition makes you better and if you dont wanna get better then go to Arizona imo. I concur with B-Rent. Where I think competition will only make our program better, I don't want highly recruited (high star) players expecting anything that isn't earned on the practice field. Nebraska is all about putting the play on tape to get on the game day field. I really don't care whether we get this guy or not, especially if he picks the snake-oil salesman's pitch. If he is coming to Nebraska, I say we give him a shot at QB, and if he pans out, great. If not, move him like we did Turner, and as quick as we moved Turner.
