  1. Sorry, but sounds made up. Seems very unlikely to me that he would come over to say hello to Husker fans dressed as such.
  2. Thats the risk you take playing Dick Chicken. devil's threewayOr a good old Eiffel Tower.Tommy knows how to celebrate. Too soon.
  3. Is the Sock limited to coaching changes or can he shed some light on this?
  4. I like it, but can't help but feel like it's a pretty shameless rip off of Wisconsin's tradition at Camp Randall before the fourth quarter.
  5. NCAA needs to impose a rule: With the exception of service academies, teams who are not in a conference are ineligible for a playoff spot. It will take ND all of 5 seconds to join a conference. I also think there should be no limit that a conference has to have 12 teams for a title game. 10 is plenty.
  6. Knevel and one other backup OL (can't remember who right now) wear eligible receiver numbers for PATs and FGs as they are on the end of the line and could be used for a fake. Knowledge bombs being dropped. Thanks!
  7. Remember when Riley first came onboard and announced that Banker was coming, but was initially reluctant to say he would for sure be Defensive Coordinator? I wonder if that hesitation was for the same reasons we're seeing on the field.
  8. It would be weird if the University has known since last April that Perlman would be gone in June 2016 and still hadn't lined up his successor in November 2015. They aren't going to wait until June 2016 to start looking for Perlman's successor.
  9. Purdue blew NU out, and Miami pretty much did too, until Miami stopped playing. Agreed. On the other hand, both games also had weird things going on that swung the game initially, only to level out at the end. In Miami it was all the drops that prevented us from sustaining drives and put us in a big hole. Against Purdue, it was the rash of turnovers. This is not excusing or overlooking the significant coaching mistakes that were made in those games, BTW. Particularly, Purdue. We should have done nothing but pound the rock with Cross/Ozigbo in that game.
  10. If we finish 6-6 and were in every game, the season is basically no different than us going 9-3 with a couple of blow-out losses. Perhaps a slight advantage to Riley for not acting like an asshat along the way.
  11. I've often wondered this myself. A receiver makes a great catch and he runs to the sideline to be replaced by someone else. Noticed the same thing. They often make a sweet play, get up, look over at the sideline, then run out. I'm like "Why? Why is he leaving?" The personnel rotations will go down as one of the biggest mysteries of this coaching staff. OL, RB, WR, it's weird. Injury aside, the only WRs that should see the field next year are Westerkamp, Morgan, DPE, Moore, and Reilly.
  12. It also doesn't take away the fact that one season is not enough to decide whether a coach is going to work or not. t Why don't his seasons at Oregon State count? The time for those to factor into the decision would have been during the hiring process. It also doesn't take away the fact that one season is not enough to decide whether a coach is going to work or not. Why don't his seasons at Oregon State count? We've been over this several dozen times on this forum. But there are several obtuse people who think we're comparing apples to apples. It's not necessary to rehash it. It's not that they don't count. They just don't count nearly as much as some people think they should. Sorry, guys. They don't disappear just because Mike Riley stepped foot on campus. His past seasons at Oregon State are at least relevant to assess whether our struggles are par for the course or due to some aberration (e.g., injuries, scheme adjustment, bad culture left behind by Pelini).

  14. Vegas also had us as favorites over Northwestern and Purdue. I can tell you Vegas has no idea WTF they are talking about with the Huskers for the last few years. Betting against the Huskers to beat the spread has been easy money for anyone so inclined. (I don't because I can't bring myself to bet against them, but the money is there to be made.)
  15. Have fun, but you should be thanking Mike Riley, not the fans.
  16. Is it okay for us to hate both? Why must we choose a foul-mouthed megalomaniac who goes 9-3 or a likable Mr. Rogers-type who goes 3-9? You'll note that both are stubborn mules with regards to schemes and assistants, and it's killing us. Why can't we try to find a coach with a good temperament, a winning record, and who chooses schemes, assistants, and players on merit and not bias?
  17. One lineman and One RB. Let's not get carried away here. So far. And when was the last time two players voluntarily quit mid-season, on the same day, for reasons other than injury?
  18. People who vote "no" on this staff and administration: National media? Check! Local media? Check! Fanbase? Check! Current (now "former") players? Check! I guess that only leaves the coaches and administration themselves. I hope Perlman, Eichorst, Riley, and his cronies don't pull a muscle patting themselves on the back.
  19. Offensive linemen and running backs are dropping out like rats off a sinking ship. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the inexplicably bad rotations at both positions.
  20. What about Eichorst? Hasn't he pissed the rug enough for us to show him to a new home, too?
  21. If Perlman extends Eichorst's contract, it would be a huge FU to the fan base and school. It would be purely spiteful. I can't imagine the Regents or President sitting idle while that happens.
