  1. Guess who is in line to break all their records?
  2. I don't think he got his offer pulled. We start doing that, and we will tend to not get committs.
  3. I figure you can't blame a kid for wanting to stay closer to home, have an opportunity to play sooner, have nearly ALL your games much closer so that family can attend.....there are lots of reasons I can see his decision. He had a committment to a quality school (Nebraska) and in his opinion, all things considered, a better offer came along. Let's say you live in GI. You go look at a car at Duteau in Lincoln, and tell the dealer....I really want that car...save it for me if you don't mind...at least through the weekend. I'll come in an sign the papers next week. In the meantime, H&H in GI has the exact same car....maybe a bit more expensive, but the dealer is closer to you in case things break, you want the car serviced, repeat business, etc. I'm dropping the offer to Duteau in a heartbeat. Who would blame me. Don't blame this kid either. He is trying to make the right decision.
  4. Happy to have you on the Husker bandwagon!! GBR!!
  5. T. Dixon...get those grades in order. We want you, but hold up your end of the stick and hit the books. This is where we separate the high school players from the D-1 players and NFL studs....... GBR
  6. woo! David...welcome to the Huskers. Best of luck! AND HEY...this is one time where we might be able to say....'Welcome to some warmer weather!!'
  7. Unlikely.....sounds like he is still headed to Washington
  8. I hope they do not go after him. We need to figure out some sort of an identity and a passing team we have never been. If we go back and forth between types of QB's, QB's are not going to gravitate to us one way or the other. Just my thoughts.
  9. Husker fans can be terrible regarding the issue of standing up during the game. Been there...been told to sit down by Husker fans. Especially bad at Memorial Stadium cause folks...there is just not enough ( ) ( ) room. GBR
  10. We need to win Saturday...before we even talk about the Rose Bowl. Don't want to break any bubbles, but I was at the Wisconsin game when we were down by 17 points in the middle of the third quarter. This will be a toss up game. Turnovers will likely make or break it for us, and this year, we have had a bad habit of a turnover at the wrong time.
  11. There is no way anyone should be predicting an easy win. Wisconsin kicked our ( ) ( ) for nearly three quarters at home. Whatever you are smoking...please share.
  12. WE would have won handily in every game except maybe Ohio State if we hadn't shot ourselves in the foot. Unfortunately, that is what this team does. We better hope they avoid any big problems on Saturday or we will be in trouble. We were down 17 to Wisconsin in the third quarter (I was at that game) and we were fortunate to beat them.
  13. Lots of factors go into winning or losing a bowl game, including practice conditions. No doubt, teams in the south hold a decided advantage in that area. We play who we play....he has done a really good job this year.
  14. We should have a bit "up" on any of those as far as team and facilities. Downside is distance. We'll see which is the most important to him. Hope he heads west, but if not, best of luck wherever he goes. GBR
  15. Indiana on the rise? Possible, but no real proof of that.
  16. Hopefully someone under the radar. No offers from quality SEC schools or Florida St. which seems a bit strange? Wish he could have came for a game. It is a concern to have a Florida kid visit in the dead of winter. Just can't get the true feeling of Husker Football. GBR
  17. Gotcha...Rose did attend Rockhurst...but never hurts to have a Mizzou guy talk Husker Power to another Mizzou guy. GBR
  18. Nice post--good analysis. I think you are someone who "knows football". Huskers have had a history of utilizing their tightends well. According to the 2012 Media Guide, Huskers currently have ----tightends--Reed, Jake Long, Trey Foster, Ben Cotton, Jared Blum, Sam Cotton, David Sutton, Eddie Ritter and Conor Mcdermott. Honestly, don't know much about the younger ones in this group. Know several are local. Agreed--I cannot imagine him selected either TT or Miami over OU or NU. GBR
  19. Agreed...Westerkamp will be out there too!! We should have some great receivers for the next few years. Can't wait. One thing that is hard to get accustomed to is our real ability to "come back" when we are behind. Whatever we want to say about the "good ol' days", that just wasn't happening. Once we got behind much at all, it was very difficult to come back. That has been refreshing this year--to see us use the entire team and make it happen. GBR
  20. Can't wait to see him playing as a redshirt freshman across from Kenny Bell and Jamaal Turner!! GBR
  21. I found a door....it was WAAAAYYYYY BACK in the thread. Before we got into the Ben Cotton argument. I opened it....it was exciting to read about Beau Sandland. Go for it. GBR!
  22. Rivals says he attends Lee Summit West. Four star guy. Recruited by several quality teams. If his attitude is "non Gabbert like", he could be a player for the Huskers. GBR
  23. Wonder when he will decide? GBR!
  24. Maybe we don't have any more scholarships available right now? This is a situation that really penalizes a kid that doesn't sign......
