5-1 would change the perception nationally, but I dont think many fans would be content in how the games are being played. Penalties, defensive scheme, screens, lack of run game, etc.

This. We aren't getting beat over the top on tons of deep passes. We're getting beat because of bad gaps in coverage, or DB's not being near receivers. They're asking gerry and cockerell to cover rather than patrol. Our dime/nickel package is almost non existent which would free a safety up for patrol purposes. Plus taking the prior staffs man coverage and telling these guys to play more zone is taking a long time to adapt. Our cover 2 is real weak right now

that's all well and good, but in college it is very rare that a deep ball hits a receiver in stride. Wisconsin threw comeback routes/stop routes that are entirely based on timing. You'd think a good jam on the line would throw that off to where at least the quarterback would have to double clutch or work through the progression to another receiver. But 10 yards of cushion is probably a good way too...

Just get over this already. It's YEARS old and we got a bigger problem now named Mike Riley. It just gets old with the Bo lovers always using 9 wins as the gold standard of college football. I personally don't see how anyone can want that POS back. I don't want bo back, but the gold standard was set by Osborne with 9 wins every year. The first time that didn't happen for 30 years we gave Solich one more year to fix it. He went 10-3 and we still fired him. This standard goes farther back than just Bo.

Easy there big shooter...take another look at the first three games and realize that he was our offense the entire time. But you're right bench him because the coaches didn't call a fb dive with 55 seconds left that would have all but ice'd the game.

Yeah you don't give them a shot at points. If they are going to score, make sure that have as much field as possible in front of them. Incredibly stupid decision. Imagine how stupid that would've looked if we actually paid a ST coach.......... I would do it for 400k less than Read...looks like the life.
