  1. I like to drink after good games. But I understand those whose drink after bad games!!!
  2. I've learned that Decker and Jameis deserves more PT over the guys who were named starters at the beginning of the season.
  3. Illinois is very, very bad. I credit NU for taking care of business tonight, but it's hard to gauge what this means for the rest of the season.
  4. Oz has shown that he deserves carries. It's tough when Tre has a chronic knee issue. While Oz is probably not the home run threat, he is showing some attitude while running.
  5. It is against the weakest D's of the Big Ten, but yes, he does look solid.
  6. Stanley is definitely a difference maker out there. Love what he's doing.
  7. I learned that three 10% alcohol beers can get me pretty faded.
  8. I learned that NU can actually take care of business for one game. Now the real conference season starts next week.
  9. Make it thru Wisconsin and Ohio Statw before making any proclamations about the Blackshirts being back.
  10. Divine actually looks slimmer and faster than he did a year ago. Maybe the coaches had to get on his ass for being out of shape earlier in the year.
  11. Great points all around. The search firm will help Bounds and Green with the initial list of candidates, contacting them, helping set up interviews, etc. The $125-150K for the search firm is a drop in the bucket for the athletic department.
  12. I wasn't trying to make it seem like I was disagreeing with you. Just further expanding on your comment. Adidas has been aggressive into cutting into Nike's market share, and there seems to have been a cost to doing that, although I wonder how much this scandal will really impact their sales.
  13. Basketball programs are going to get the bigger deals. They want to get those basketball players in adidas in AAU and college, with hopes to having those players wear adidas in the NBA. Basketball shoes and players sell and mean much bigger money than football players/programs.
  14. Haven't seen this posted yet. Looks like Bounds and Green are going with Turnkey Search to help with the AD search. http://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/turnkey-search-to-help-nu-find-new-athletic-director/article_29e682e3-7e19-5022-8d64-a9cbc494d5b5.html They recently consulted with Tennessee and Alabama on their AD hires.
  15. Well said, ED. Rimington will be a friendly and familiar face to a lot of people in Husker Nation, and he's also a pretty damn smart guy who knows how to run a multi-million dollar business. Of course he won't be making wholesale changes in 60 days, but that's not what he's being asked to do. If people would just take things for what they are and stop trying to look for false flags, things would be so much easier in life.
  16. Why is the joke answer to everything "Bring back Bo's coach?" I have never said anything about wanting Rick Fisher back, but you make that comment. I just think that Keith Williams seems like a replacement-level WR coach. He may be thought of as a good recruiter, but this year's WR group hasn't been good.
  17. I understand he has guys that like to train with him in the offseason, but he doesn't seem to be a difference maker with our WR's, including a lot of drops so far this year.
  18. True, but that also might mean the new coach wouldn't want him either.
  19. I've been underwhelmed by KW and his group of tame amateurs.
  20. I get what you are saying, but it's only fair to let the new coach select his assistants as he sees fit. I didn't like it when TO forced Watson and Gilmore on Bo, and I wouldn't expect the new coach (if one is hired) to be told who to keep around. If Riley is fired, his assistant coaches will choose to go elsewhere, rather than stick around NU. The only exception would be Parrella, given his previous association with the University and team.
