  1. It probably depends on what they are most comfortable doing. There are more "big hotels" in Omaha, and so I can see why some teams would stay there.
  2. It's just too bad that a visiting, retired ball coach has more cache than the current Nebraska head coach.
  3. At least Eichorst is finally able to get a football coach that NU fans actually know to come to Lincoln.
  4. Brian Christopherson ‏@HuskerExtraBC 5h5 hours ago Here's the story: Spurrier's in town, checking out his first #Husker game in Lincoln. http://bit.ly/1RC87Mm (via @HuskerExtraSip)
  5. Before any rumors get out of hand regarding replacing Riley or "consulting" Riley/Eichorst, there is nothing going on. Eichorst and Spurrier are friends from their days at South Carolina. Eichorst invited him in for the weekend to be his guest and watch some football together. They may talk some football while Spurrier is here, but there isn't anything "suspicious" going on.
  6. Eichorst was at South Carolina as an Assistant AD when Spurrier was hired there. They have a relationship. They are probably friends. Spurrier is probably in town to watch a football game. Nothing more than that.
  7. Teach, 1 or 2 of those parties isn't "a ton". You were sitting in your dorm room with your d*ck in your hand most weekend nights.
  8. I never heard that Frazier gave TO an ultimatum, that's a new one for me. Most of us remember when Solich had to talk back Crouch to Lincoln.
  9. Why? TO was given an ultimatum by a player in 92'. It worked out pretty well I'd say. Are you saying Frazier gave TO an ultimatum? That's one I never heard. From my memory (and I was old enough to remember), NU had very poor QB play with Mike Grant, and TO went to start Frazier because he was the better player at QB, even if he was only a true freshman.
  10. Maybe I was mixing up Finnin with younger guys, so yes, this probably isn't a big deal. However, I still think Cavanaugh is not a good o-line coach. I don't agree with his philosophy of only playing his first string o-linemen and there have been multiple threads on it. Honestly, I think he has trouble managing a roster of 15+ o-linemen. It will be interesting if they pare down the o-line recruiting so that they only have 10 linemen on the roster. The coaches are only playing 5 linemen a game, unless there is an injury, so why have more than 10 scholarship linemen on the roster.
  11. I think Cavanaugh is a terrible coach and doesn't know how to manage more than 6-7 o-linemen. That's I made my post. If you check his bio Cavanaugh is a very good oline coach. He's been at Oregon State for the past 10 years. That doesn't mean much to me.

  13. I know. But back in the day, Nebraska was known to put a trophy or two in the case while doing so. I understood that this was done by Tenopir, but they also had 2 units practicing at the same time, so the backups got plenty of reps during practice. Also, the top unit was producing at a high level. I have no idea what is done in practice, but now the o-line has not played well and the backups aren't getting any game reps.
  14. But, but, that's what's done in the NFL!!!

  16. Rumors are that he failed a drug test. I want to get high!!!
  17. This kid was a pure talent. NU needs more like his talent. I think he will be a very good RB and return guy, once he realizes to follow blockers and not do everything on his own. I feel for him because he probably just didn't find a good fit with the rest of the freshman class at NU. These recruiting classes come in early summer and do a lot of work together in off-season conditioning and drills. He came in late, to a school he originally didn't want to attend, and he couldn't make it work. Good luck to the kid.
  18. The Dodgers don't care about his "success" at Nebraska. All they care about is that he was a former pro ball player, is highly respected, and could probably bring a tough-nosed attitude to a team that has a payroll over $200M.
  19. This is the best thing Riley has said/done during his tenure so far.
  20. Got my free Taco Bell AM Crunch Wrap this morning. It wasn't bad, but not great either. Typical fast food breakfast. Thanks, Lo Cain!!!

I've always dug the steak crunchwrap. They're new Grande breaky burrito is pretty tasty too. Many bold flavors to be had, kimosabe.

I had the country sausage crunchwrap. Not sure if the gravy was a good or bad idea. Should have gone with the steak.

  21. I had to shave my neck area this morning. That part is the worst for me. It's just too itchy and gross.
  22. I only care about Nebraska. I'm not rooting for my "Big Ten brethren". Screw them!! I didn't root for Oklahoma or Colorado or any of our old conference rivals in the Big 8/Big 12. I'm not rooting for any Big Ten team now.
