  1. Man, Fan Day looks like the most miserable experience ever.
  2. Guys he is making a quick joke. It's not a big deal.
  3. Great hustle Great hands Strong route-runners Coaches on the field
  4. I am not saying anything about you OH, but why are white receivers always compared to other white receivers?
  5. My wife went to Nebraska Wesleyan, and she joked that they liked to call it "the Harvard of the Plains", which I always responded with "yeah, how many other small colleges like to use that catch phrase". From her friends that I met at NWU, they were all from smaller towns in Nebraska. I don't mean to offend anyone, but if you are not from Omaha or Lincoln it's a small town In Nebraska.
  6. I went to UNL and really enjoyed the "big college" experience, especially when it comes to athletics and being part of a big alumni base. For those that went to "smaller colleges", what were your reasons for attending a smaller college?
  7. Ahh I love the "good old day syndrome" of the former players and some posters here.
  8. It must have sucked to attend classes on a campus that is on a Malibu cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
  9. I need to get some new jeans. Maybe I should look at The Buckle.

  10. Hey guys, just throwing out a reminder to vote for my buckle ballz today. It's a close race, so every vote counts!!!

  11. It will be interesting to see how many people on the board DIDN'T go to UNL. Not meaning anything by that comment, just interested.
  12. 5:30? I would hope that no games would be at 11 am. But I think you mean 2:30 for FAU I would imagine FAU was a 6 PM game, just to avoid the heat of late August. 11 AM for McNeese is probable at this point.
  13. UNL for undergrad. U of Chicago for MBA. Glad with my choices, other than meeting teach @ UNL, and the student loans from Chicago that I will be paying off forever.
  14. My pants fell down because my belt buckle broke. Anyone know where I can get one?

Ha! Update of the year?? HAHAHA

  15. Because it's now the home of Husker Volleyball, and probably the premier place to watch major college volleyball in the country. Good point. OU volleyball is a minor sport, 1000 attendees or less. All inside OU sports played in only one venue .... Lloyd Noble Arena in south campus, small now days, 10,000 seats capacity. Actually some volleyball games (conflict with Noble, I think) played in old rinky-dink coliseum, much smaller than NU coliseum. Again, why not move from Devaney to PBA (volleyball). Save utilities like heat and AC, renovate costs, more revenue by selling ownership to private company, etc The renovated Devaney Center is perfect for volleyball, especially if NU wants to sell itself as a premier volleyball program. A dedicated volleyball facility is a big recruiting tool. The PBA is "too big" of an arena for volleyball, plus it's a city-owned arena that books concerts and other events that could potentially conflict with volleyball games.
  16. Did you hear about those belt buckles we should vote for?

  17. Not sure where you live, but there are courses that have separate short game practice areas. You can also go to a park or school grounds and practice pitching to a backstop.
  18. Don't worry about him resenting you cause you coach him...he will resent you regardless I was waiting for that comment from Teach.
  19. Season 2 of The Wire? That season is good, because it is highly talked about by Wire fans as being "underrated/overrated".
  20. As a coach, I expect more out of my son (not performance wise) and he sometimes thinks that I am "too hard" on him. I enjoy spending the time with him, but I don't want him to resent the sport or resent me. That's why I would rather be the dad sitting super far away from everyone else, but watching the game. That way I can still watch my son, but I don't have to deal with idiot parents.
  21. I have been involved in coaching my son's baseball team the past few years. This past season, I was the "head coach". I have enjoyed it, but I really can't wait to the day when I can sit in the stands as a fan.
  22. Man, I played 18 on Friday for the first time in a couple months. It was a very up and down round. One concerning thing is that I have developed the shanks with my wedges from 50-70 yards out. I might be getting "too handsy", but I am leaving the club wide open at impact, and the ball goes to a 45 degree angle to the right. I will have to hit the range to figure that out. UGH!!!
  23. Now that my son's baseball season is over (I was coaching his team), hopefully I can get out a few times through the end of the summer. It's amazing how much of success in golf can be improved by regular playing and repetition.
