  1. And this is where alot of people are wrong. The safety measures to prevent leaks for pipelines are taken very seriously. The DOT and EPA do audits continuously to see if companies are maintaining the correct measures for keeping the pipelines safe. Pipeline companies also have to run tools that moniter and detect any defects that have occured on the pipeline. These defects are then reported to the DOT and determined what the seriousness of it is and the measurements to repairing it. In all honesty, a semi hauling oil has a better chance of having a leak then a pipeline does. Sorry, I don't believe that. Their past history shows me that I should not. You can believe what you want, but this the law and standards that are put into place for pipelines. What I explained is only a drop in the hat of what pipelines have to do to operate, not only in Nebraska, but in the whole US. If you think TransCanada is going to put in a pipeline and not moniter it or abide to state and federal laws, then you are wrong.
  2. This is so spot on...If people did accually know how many pipelines run across the state and what they are pumping, it wouldn't be an issue at all. It does just show you that it is all political and nothing else.
  3. Nebraska is in no way associated with PSU. We are playing a football game and that is it. I don't understand why people are thinking that we will all of a sudden be apart of what went on because we are playing them the week that everything came of light.
  4. He could just do that right here in Lincoln. I would be happy

  6. I want to see Mayweather hike up his skirt and face Paciou.
  7. We're quibbling over minutiae. Saying he did something is technically correct. It is like giving a village a task of moving a mountain, and having the man who owns the largest excavator move one grain of sand. We can go over this all day. The bottom line is, Paterno didn't do what he should have done. End of story. I agree and I have gone into this more then I would have liked to. I am passionate about the law and being innocent until proven guilty. As Mr. Paterno did fulfill his legal obligation...it doesn't mean we have to like the law and I am glad that PA got it changed in 2007. The authorities need evidence that Mr. Paterno knew more, but until then he is innocent. If Mr. Paterno wanted to he could get a good lawyer and sue the state for wrongful termination. Either way it makes me sick and I am done talking about it...I would be going after everyone involved if I was the attorney general. Your continued defense of Paterno is baffling. He has ZERO claim for wrongful termination. None. And if he has any honor whatsoever he wouldn't even try to file such a claim. You are also confusing reasons for termination and evidence necessary to convict in a court of law. These are not the same thing. This continued mantra of "Paterno fulfilled his legal obligation" is disgusting. It is the defense of a coward, and if that's how JoePa thinks children should be defended, he was never EVER the kind of man who should be responsible for shaping young lives. Really? Do you have a reading comprehension problem? The law at that time says he fulfilled his legal obligation and I also said that doesn't mean we have to like it. Where in any of my posts am I defending the man??? In fact, I said I would go after everyone involved, did I not? I really don't know wtf your problem is, because we are on the same side in the whole thing. The thing I can't stand is you guys all thing you are judge, jury, and F@#$$%% executioner. I am not confusing anything so don't tell me I am. I might be wrong that he could sue, but if he is fired for this scandal (which don't give me a bullsh!t story that he wasn't) and he is found of no wrong doing...isn't that wrongful termination? I have seen crazier things and a good lawyer could find something there. Joe Pa got fired for STUPIDITY...He was STUPID not to put an end to it, he was STUPID to allow it to continue and he was was STUPID to allow Sandusky to remain apart of the university.
  8. What are people's thoughts on this? I for one would like to see the pipeline go thru and create the jobs and money for the state that it could provide.
  9. We seem to have good luck getting guys out of Colorado. Might as well try to get this guy also.
  10. I think Tommy is in the same mold as Russel Wilson.
  11. Excellent! Find an organization that has something to do with kids and volunteer. I do that already. But I found out that the PSU folks are asking for funds if you want to support the victims of this tragedy. (I posted it under another thread.) Think I'll send them a check...Join me? First of all, I'm not trying to be an ass. But why do people always want to raise money for victims of a crime. I could see if they had lost their house, car or any other personal things due to a crime and were not able to get things replaced. This is a very horrible thing that has happened and I feel for the victims, but I do not see what money will do for them. Is it for legal council? I am just wanting to know.
  12. It could be that when he retired out of nowhere, people took notice and became skeptical of him without knowing the truth. He was to be the heir to the reins after JoePa after all. that would raise a flag with me.
  13. Well we do have 4...Stein, Moore, Rome and Jackson.
  14. Well you might be surprised. Will Compton? NO...SouthCentral Compton beeeoooootttttttcccchhhhhhhh
  15. If not for the Pelinis, Suh wouldn't be where he is at. Works both ways
  16. First, I'm very sorry for what happened to your friend. It's a tragedy and nothing mitigates that. However, if you've ever changed the channel on your radio, if you've ever looked in the back seat, if you've ever dug in your glove box or if you've ever looked at a phone, map, friend in the passenger seat while driving, that's enough to kill someone. It can happen to anyone. The ridiculous thing about driving is that it's the single most dangerous thing most people will do every day, and they never stop and think about how dangerous it really is. You are piloting, often without the requisite skill, a 1.5 ton missile at speeds in excess of 30 mph. The consequences of a moment's distraction are devastating, yet we're often looking at the trees, or a bird, or the girl in the next car, or the sunset, or whatever. This is what the driver had said happened. I know it's not what it was, but I'm not going to get into details about it. I think there is a fine line when determining on who gets diversion and who doesn't. I would hate to be the one to make that decision, especially if there were other victims involved. I hope this will help her out and she will learn a valuable lesson from it, but it's just to bad that it took this to happen.
  17. I'm sorry, but there should be no diversion for felony charges. I have a hard time agreeing with this scenerio. I am alittle bias because I had a friend get killed by a driver that hit him while he was walking on the side of the road. The driver was allowed to take diversion and was done with it. It is an injustice to the victims when something like this happens. ns
  18. Yeah...he got hurt trying to crawl out of the doghouse. Sprained his mangina.
  19. I do this to my wife and tell her " Good Game " after having some fun. She gets pissed
  20. I think it is like a felony DUI and you loose your DL for 15 yrs to life if convicted.
  21. I would say YES...That would give us 5 LBs in this class but I think Jones could very easily play the role of peso and then have the other 4 fill in our LB spots.
