  1. This guy might run for 1k yards next season, but I'd be curious what the staff has seen that makes them think he'd be an upgrade over Ervin, Yant or Johnson.
  2. Oh for sure, most criticisms can be traced back to both sides of the political spectrum. Though, Rogan, Chapelle and others don't seem to be worried about their careers being ruined by the MAGA crowd.
  3. Did A&M have a stud ahead of him? I thought I read somewhere that he had fallen behind two freshmen on the depth chart.
  4. We could probably debate all day on which side is ruining the country more, but I couldn't agree with you more on the rest of it. The extremes from both sides are frustrating.
  5. It's probably small potatoes to some, but, if allowed, the far left will eventually ruin comedy. They're already trying.
  6. I be a little surprised if that holds true as we get into 2022. My business is a service business, and I was waiting until the New Year to raise prices, and am currently in the process of letting my clients and contracts know that prices will be increasing by at least 10% and in some cases more. I know the landscape business might be a little different than some service businesses, but I would guess that at least a decent amount of service businesses have also been waiting for the New Year to make those changes. You have to. Everything that allows you to provide the service you provide has risen in price.
  7. It's hard to not be excited, and impressed with the work Frost has done in the off-season. He's made some great hires so far to his coaching staff, and I really like some of the players he's brought in through the portal, led by Thompson of course. However, (extremely) cautious optimism is where the excitement will peak for me.
  8. Well, that doesn't seem like a bad thing.
  9. Imagine if we had the same "they knew the rules" attitude to those entering our country illegally.
  10. The flu or flurona? I hope she gets to feeling better.
  11. My wife and I had to order a new Tahoe. A brand new 2022 was $2,000 more than the next best deal we could find within 2 hrs from us, which was a 2021 Tahoe with 20,000+ miles on it. We were trying to make her other car last, but at 150,000 miles the transmission started showing signs of a bad transmission. We weren't going to put $5,000 in it and really needed something bigger. When we bought her last car we had two kids, and we have four now. It took a few weeks to get it in, but it's worked out so far.
  12. So who is taking over for Gary Sharp?

Agreed. Ravi is fine, but the lean towards Husker coverage will be much appreciated. Happer is good. His show with Schaefer sure didn't last long.

Agreed, that was a bit strange.  I enjoyed The Recruiting Hour and the two of them have good chemistry and so when I saw they were going with a longer show I thought, "Hey, that's great."  Then I read the show was kaput and thought that was weird.  Now, perhaps the 1620 opportunity came about at the 11th hour and that was the catalyst for the show ending?  Maybe I'll jump on Twitter and see if I can find anything.

@Xmas32 I think it's moreso the latter; Mike'l leaving 1620 again came out of nowhere, IMO.

  13. Cautious hope? It's a pretty good sample size....
  14. Yeah, but they had to walk there up hill both ways, so.....
  15. The NORAD tracker showed no issue for Santa.
  16. It wasn't an argument for, or against the wall. It was just a humorous observation.
  17. Not a surprise. Most of my Hispanic friends have felt the same way.
  18. It'll never not be funny that a border wall is where people suddenly want the government to be fiscally responsible. It doesn't matter to me if it ever gets built, because it isn't going to solve the problem completely. Though, I think it'd be a reasonable deterrent. No doubt, some people feel that way.
  19. A mass migration of unskilled workers might make you feel good, but it brings on it's own set of problems. There's nothing wrong with a secured border, and enforcing reasonable border laws. There's no doubt that many Hispanics are hard working people, looking to build a better life for their families, but like other races, there are plenty of them here only to take advantage of our ridiculously generous welfare system, with no real intentions of being productive members of society.
  20. Entering the country without breaking the law would be a great start for all involved.
  21. A lot of the people who allegedly want to keep those willing workers out at the border are also willing/in those lines of work. As I've mentioned here multiple times, the Hispanic culture aligns with our blue collar values pretty closely here in America. They'll blend in seamlessly if allowed, and already have to a large extent.
