  1. His over/under in the last game was -32. They lost by 36. Coincidence? I think not. You could put it all on his teammates' shoulders in any game in the Eastern Conference playoff run. In the finals, it's ALL on Lebron up to this point. This series, he has got plenty of help from Wade, Miller, Allen, Cole, Chalmers, Haslem, and Bosh. And on the defensive end, the Birdman has been a spark through the entire playoffs. Any lack of success from the Heat in the Finals falls directly on Lebron's shoulders, and you're kidding yourself if you say otherwise. That statement is beyond ridiculous.... Not really. Aside from about 10 minutes in game 2 and about 2 minutes in game 3, LBJ has been sleep walking. It's all on him right now. He should shoulder some of the blame (too his credit, he did that in the postgame presser), but "all on him" is a ridiculous exaggeration....
  2. If the bolded is true then he really doesn't belong in the all-time greatest conversation. How so? He clearly feels the need to get Wade involved in the game.... Again, being an elite distributor is part of his game....
  3. Would love to see Tiger get that elusive major this weekend!

Not happening based on the 10 1/2 holes he played today.

      Elusive 15th major.... I suppose....

  4. Compared to the regular-season, here are their statistic differences for the Finals. PLAYER A: -18% FG -10.1 PPG +3 minutes PLAYER B: -8% FG -6.8 PPG -1 minutes PLAYER C: -9% FG -4.3 PPG -0.5 minutes Please tell me who is "largely the problem?" Numbers don't always tell the story in sports (you should know that). I think that Wade's pre-finals statement about Bosh and himself needing more shots has altered Lebron's game to this point. Like I said, he hasn't played well to this point, but he has received little, to no help from Wade, or Bosh. The opportunities are there for both, and they are failing. A great defensive team like San Antonio can stop a superstar if his role players aren't responding. Whether Wade, and Bosh like it or not, on this team they are ROLE players.... They knew the deal when they talked Lebron into coming to South Beach.... The comparison's to Jordan really annoy me. He is a completely different player than Jordan. A true Magic/Jordan hybrid (as has been said many times before)....

  6. Although I think HuskerNation gives him way too much credit (different time, different place) I always thought that Mariuce Purify was a pretty sweet name....
  7. It's easy to hate when games like this come around lol.... Leonard is playing stellar defense on Lebron right now (maybe the best I've ever seen anyone play him). I would expect the Heat to respond in Game 4. It's time for Lebron to take over, because outside of Miller and Cole, the rest of the roster has failed to show up this series.... This is not ONE GAME comes around. This is the entire series. This is put-up or shut-up ... and he has been shut-up. He came to Miami to hide in situations like this. If Wade and Bosh aren't superb, he can't hide. People try to blame it on Wade and Bosh. Funny thing about that, they are MUCH closer to their regular season stats this series than LeBron. Oh, and getting those stats they are playing less minutes, Bron is playing more. Lebron has played more minutes than Wade and Bosh all year long. That is not a "finals" situation, that has been happening all year long....You're kidding yourself if you think that Wade and Bosh aren't largely the problem. They have completely failed to show up the entire playoff run.... BRon's stats are down in the finals? That surprises you? He doesn't play the Spurs 82 games during the regular season! When in a series against the Spurs it would seem obvious (to most) that his numbers might drop..... Has he played great? No, but this is far from on his shoulders.... 17 pts., 12 rebs., 7 assists, 2 steals? No, you're right, that guy is horrible....
  8. Let's hope so! Els has done a fantastic job....
  9. Sure! And then we could get Steve Pederson to come back and hang a plaque over the door for basketball too. Too late ! Pedey just signed a five year extension at Pitt ! (what kind of photos must he have of some Pitt people tucked away into a safe deposit box?) Hasn't he done a nice job there? Twice now?
  10. Obviously not purposely. But these things kinds of things dont exactly have over night effects. Is it possible they wake up 10 years from now with drastically dropping attendance and ratings and say "oh sh#t, what'd we do?". I think it is possible. The snowball is small right now, but.... I certainly understand what you're saying. Let's hope you're wrong!
  11. Accountability, In a sport where we always hear "it's about the money" how far do you think the rule makers will let it go? Is the NFL going to go so far to shut their own brand down?..... The answer to that question is No....

  13. Mr. Pollard was exaggerating, surely he wouldn't believe that statement to be true. With the money involved, and the popularity of the sport, there is no way football doesn't exist in 20-30, or even 100 years.... But if the sport continues to water itself down and takes away the aspects that made it what it is today in terms of popularity, will that popularity and money continue to sustain itself? Basically what we're headed for is glorified lacrosse. Probably not even that physical. Now you're exaggerating.... I'm not a fan of all the rule changes either, but they haven't been so dramatic that we don't recognize what sport we're watching when we turn on the the television.... If players adapt (which they will) the game should be fine in my opinion.... And right now the sport is more popular than ever....

  15. If all goes well, do we become the Greatest College Basketball fans too?
  16. Icksnay on the onRay ayneDay talk. People get fired up. lmao All time leading rusher in D1 should crack the top 20....
  17. I like Newby to be #2.... How's his work ethic!
  18. A shining example of a work ethic just like Imani's not of Taylor's Clarification please. Just that with Taylor we don't KNOW for sure what his work ethic will be. It's all what ifs at this point. But what we do know right now is that Imani works his ass off and wil continue to do that. Whether he will be a career backup or not, I know we have something great with him and whole heartedly believe (being another HS RB) that with his work ethic and from what I saw in his play time last year (VERY rarely fell backwards) and his ypc was trashed due to mostly short yardage attempts, that he will be another Husker great we will talk about in 4 years as someone who just made our team better no matter what his spot is on the depth chart. Better clarification? So the fact that Taylor worked with two personal trainers his second semester, one for strength one for speed, for four hours a day means nothing?? What issue is being debated here? Imani works hard so..... ADam Taylor works so....
  19. It's definitely being a little overhyped, but it shouldn't be in the highlight? I wouldn't quite go that far.... I mean, it was one helluva block....
  20. Well done Miles.... This guy impresses me more all the time....
  21. Because Texas has none of this? I dont know about playing time but, Mack Brown is not a "top notch" coach. At the risk if getting into a pissing contest, I will respectfully disagree. A "top notch" coach doesn't let these past few years happen at Texas like Mack has.... I could probably list 30 coaches I'd rather have at NU more than Mack..... Anyways, A&M has the appeal in Texas right now, lets hope they don't offer!
