  1. Given his offers, a bump in star power is likely, right?
  2. My thoughts on the OP's videos: 1. It is a shame the Bell hit, and the Martinez run are tainted because our defense turned into 12 year old girls for the 2012 B1G Championship game...... 2. Watching any highlights from the Texas A&M game makes me sick. We were screwed, and that game felt like it was the hump that this program needed to get over. It felt like the program was really on the brink at that point....
  3. Is it just me, or does ESPN seem too hate Nebraska? Has anybody else noticed Bo Pelini's sideline demeanor?
  4. Curry is really shooting up my list of favorite players as well. He's got an amazing shot, and he's a great ball handler too. Lebron IMO is not viewer friendly. He puts up a lot of stats and dominates most every game because of his physical presence, but to me, he's ugly to watch play basketball. It's supposed to be a game of gracefulness, and he and the rest of his gang make it look more like wrestling or rugby with how they play it. They all set moving screens and mug the other team and then whine whenever they get a foul called on them. I agree that the Heat do whine a lot, but if you don't think Lebron plays beautiful basketball than you're either a hater, or blind (with all do respect).... The guy has incredible vision, is as good of a defender as there is. He almost always makes the right basketball play (such as hitting the open teammate). Not to mention that his overall athletic ability is something too marvel at. Lebron plays a beautiful/unique brand of basketball.... Since he has improved his jump shot, and developed some moves in the post; he has become the most well-rounded basketball player that I can ever remember watching....
  5. The turnover margin problem falls on the shoulders of the defense as much as it does the offense.... The past few years our 'd' has been horrible at forcing turnovers....
  6. You serious Clark? Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking.... I better start fact-checking every post I make Just messing with ya man. Mavs are my favorite team so that year was awesome. This year I don't know who Im going for yet. I kinda like the Warriors team to tell you the truth. Their series with the Nuggets has been the best series so far IMO. Curry (aside from Lebron) is my favorite player to watch in the NBA. That jump shot is silky-smooth....
  7. +1 everything except the bolded. Gimme your top ten. Jordan Kareem Russell Wilt Magic Bird Oscar Shaq Jerry West Hakeem I put Kobe at 10-15. In there with Tim Duncan, Barkley, Malone, Elgin Baylor, pistol Pete. Some combo of those in my next tier. I understand the respect for the historical players, and what they accomplished; and championships DO matter. However, do you really think any of the bolded could outplay Kobe with both in their primes? Its just my opinion. It's not a one on one tourney bracket. Who you got? Jordan--Bird--Magic--Kareem--Shaq--Kobe--Hakeem--Duncan--Wilt--.. Lebron will easily fit into this list, but we'll wait until his career is done.... To your "one on one bracket" comment; I have always found it interesting to see how different people fit players from past generations into their all-time great conversations/lists.... Did they accomplish more in their time? In a lot of cases yes, but are they better "players"? In most cases, no....
  8. Yeah, I wish we played Alabama St. in November!

  11. The Mavs vs Heat Finals were in 2011, that's two years ago. Don't count OKC out yet, Durant is definitely not the reason they are losing. Scott Brooks needs to change the lineup, Perkins looks like a senior citizen out there trying to play--he just as well have a walker or a cane they way he moves. LeBron is a more complete player than either MJ or Kobe. He is a better rebounder and passer than either of them, but he is not quite as good of a scorer. MJ is the most prolific scorer and the most clutch player ever. He brought a will to win on the court that will never be seen again. LeBron will probably go down as the second best player in NBA history, because IMHO no one will ever surpass Jordan. You're right on the year of the series, I must have been thinking of the first Mavs/Heat series in 06.... Consider the Thunder done. It would be a miracle if they won the West, and there is no way they beat the Heat without Westbrook and Harden.....The Heat have the league locked down for the next 6-7 years. Do I think they'll win 7 straight titles? Probably not, but I wouldn't be surprised if they won 4-5 out of the next 6-7.....
  12. The OKC series is showing the importance of Westbrook, and its also showing that Durant is not in Lebrons realm.... so all that talk can stop. That Mavs finals was atleast 4 years ago, not two.... Lebron was extremely clutch throughout last years playoffs and its continued this year. He is on top right now and I dont see that changing anytime soon.
  13. Why would it be? Besides, noone will remember when he has won his 4th straight.... You think he the collusion will stick together two more years? Summer of 2014 is a huge offseason. No matter how much it may suck for LeBron fans, his rings with this Heat team will always be met with skepticism. Why? Wade is Pippen.... Similar to Jordan with the bulls, there is no doubt who the best player is for the heat....
  14. Why would it be? Besides, noone will remember when he has won his 4th straight....
  15. The Lebron from the last two seasons say hello.... three years ago I would of agreed but not now....
  16. Shaq and Jamison werent on that Cavs Finals team....
  17. Yeah, and Kobe barely made the playoffs with the best Center in the game, and one of the best PG's ever....He (Lebron) had a fine career before Miami.... Kobe has had a better supporting cast most of his career. I just don't see the argument here. If you put Lebron on the Lakers team this year they are a top 2 seed in the west....
  18. The Cleveland Cavaliers were so much better of a team than the Lakers were after the Shaq and co. fallout. We're talking about Smush Parker, Kwame Brown, Chris Mihm and co. Freaking Smush Parker Who did the Cavs have? Ilgauskas (?) That team wasn't any better than Kobe's "down" teams....
  19. Because other than K-State, no other major schools have offered. So they are waiting to see what the competition level to get him will be. Kansas State is a nice program.... now is the time to offer....
  20. OU, and Notre Dame would make the B1G college football's gem....Too bad it won't happen....
  21. This Kobe/Lebron debate is easy for me.... After Shaq left L.A., the Lakers stayed around the middle of the western conference for a few years, barely making the playoffs (until they got Gasol). Lebron took that horrible Cavs team to the finals against the Spurs. Lebron can do so much more with less.... This debate isn't even close for me, Lebron is better than Kobe ever was, and he has been for 4-5 years now....
  22. I remember when Texas Tech and Baylor and a mediocre Texas watered down the Big 8. I don't remember thinking that, but I was also relatively young.... Even so, you can't possibly be excited about these two additions outside of the traveling/tourists attractions.
  23. Let's wait until they play a game in the league before we claim they water down the conference. Plus, it seems strange for the newcomer to bash newer teams to the conference, doesn't it? We're Nebraska. We actually brought something too the conference from a competitive/historical standpoint. Nebraska's football program speaks for itself, and I wouldn't be surprised if Nebraska had a better basketball program than both of them (Rutgers, Maryland) in a few years.... Don't get me wrong, I am rooting for their success, and improvement; I do have my doubts though....
  24. Disagree, they dont have a RB. I bet he starts week 1 They do. They drafted UNCs Gio Bernard in the 2nd round. Two rookies competing.... Give me Burkhead....
