ttheKid1*18
I can't believe Octavien lost his spot to Ruud. Hopefully this means there is nothing wrong with Octavien, but that Ruud has just done better. Quote Link to comment
aweshucks
I'm really surprised to see Fluellen at #2 behind Jones at corner. Kinda thin there w/o Bowman I agree. It's going to be scary going to USC with this defensive backfield. Quote Link to comment
ttheKid1*18
Hopefully these guys will surprise us. I know Jones is in his first year, but I think he will do good this year. I have no worries about Grix, even with his height, or lack there of. Our safeties have experience in the defensive backfield, though Green at CB. Our backups is where I worry though. Still, with the front seven being as good as it is, that helps a little with the pressure on the qb's. Quote Link to comment
CENTEXHUSKER
Spain and Rudd are the two suprises for me, but Cally gave the impression in the press conference that they may erase a hole in the paper with all the changes and flip flops this year. The first couple of games should define the starters a little better. Only four more day! Â Quote Link to comment
ttheKid1*18
I remember a quote from Calli once where he said that the depth chart can change every day, so this thing is definately not set in stone. Quote Link to comment
Washusker
Anyone notice that Kenny Wilson is the KR? Â Â I'd pay to see him return a few kicks... Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
there were no surprises as far s i can see regarding the running backs.....cally kept saying they were almost equal.....and he was true to his word.....the thing that i love is wilson on kick off returns........hot damn, this is gonna be fun to watch! ttheKid1*18
The big surprise for me was Ruud. I think they will use a 3-4 this year sometimes, just so they can have all four of the lb's on the field at the same time. Quote Link to comment
gamecocks
Also remember that Callahan doesn't normally release an updated depth chart, so this will probally be the only one that we see for awhile. Quote Link to comment
ttheKid1*18
At least until Saturday. That is the only depth chart I really care about. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
If they were to use a 3-4, that would most likely bring in Philip Dillard at one of the inside linebacker positions. Ruud and Octavien are both Weakside. That said, I love our linebacking depth and hope both see significant time. Â And now we can go back to shouting "Ruuuuud"! Quote Link to comment
ttheKid1*18
I could see them switching one of their positions, just so they could have both of them on the field at once. Quote Link to comment
DaveH
I thought Octavien got a blackshirt? Wouldn't be surprised. Last year there were more than 11 blackshirts. Quote Link to comment
