Changes at Nebraska?

Recommended Posts

Just a thought. At the end of the sports season this fall, Trev Alberts becomes university President, John Cook the new Athletic Director and Jordan Larson becomes the new volleyball coach. We get a university President that understands the value of sports to the state and supports the coaches. An Athletic Director who gets along well with all the coaches and has the foresight to understand the changes in college sports and a legacy player to to take the reins of the volleyball program. I'm not saying this will happen but with our current president leaving to go to Ohio St and the Ohio State AD retiring in June I could see him offering Trev Alberts a pot full of money to join him there and this could be a way to keep Trev in Nebraska and open the door for John Cook to step into the AD role here.

Interesting thought but would be pretty bananas if this happened. Athletics is certainly the most visible part of the university but it is a bucket of water in the ocean known as the university operating budget. It's one thing to be an AD at UNL, it is a whole nother ball of wax to be the President of the entire Nebraska education system.

That's a budget of 3.3 billy, with a 'B'.

The most feasible of the 3 is certainly John Cook taking over at AD at some point.

Jordan Larson taking over as head VB coach having zero HC experience when there is a slew of ex-NU players who have become stud coaches would be pretty wild.
