We don’t need a great qb, an average to slightly above average qb would be a major upgrade over what we have currently. I don’t think it’s as rare as you think- pretty much every pac 12 team that is ranked is playing a transfer qb. As far as the big ten west being a dumpster fire- that fire is done end of year. Starting next we don’t have the luxury of having most of our division be incompetent.
