HuskerInKC16
Joe Dailey loses starting spot at North Carolina CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina will start redshirt freshman Cam Sexton over Joe Dailey at quarterback against Furman, coach John Bunting said today. Bunting said he was making a change to spark an offense that has committed eight turnovers in losses to Rutgers and Virginia Tech. Dailey, who transferred from the University of Nebraska after starting at QB in the 2004-05 season, started North Carolina's first two games, but threw a key interception to end a drive late in the opening loss to Rutgers and threw two more picks against the Hokies. Sexton came on in relief of Dailey in the second quarter of that 35-10 loss, going 9 for 21 for 120 yards with two interceptions. Bunting said the Tar Heels (0-2) will play both quarterbacks against the Division I-AA Paladins on Saturday, and that he hopes both will cut down on the turnovers that have hindered the team. ttheKid1*18
It's funny because I remember a certain aweshucks person saying that UNC would be able to use his skills. We all asked what skills, and looks like we are right. Quote Link to comment

gamecocks
Well doesn't that mean that UNC is not running the right system for him, meaning they can't take advantage of his skills in which you said that they could take advantage of. Quote Link to comment

It's almost expected of a freshman to make mistakes. Not from someone who's played a couple of years in D-1 football. Quote Link to comment
darveaux
We could argue it all day but I think it just boils down to raw talent. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Bottom line is Dailey's talent is throwing passes to the other team!!!!! Quote Link to comment
