huskerfan8
It is time to put Thenarse in and take Grixby out and look at either West, Young, or Culbert to step in at a corner Quote Link to comment
BaytownHusker
I agree that the other guys should get a shot but damn they led the team in tackles today cause the Pink shirts got walk on... Willis Quote Link to comment
NU fan in Denver
I agree, the young guys have already played and burned their redshirts throw them in the fire. They can not cover people and miss tackles just as well as the vetrans. At least they will be gaining valuable experience. I was excited to see thenarse in on D when Grix got hurt. Touchdown Tommie
It sounds as if some of you are totally giving up the season...put the young guys in to get experience. Would that help them if they continue to get burned??? I am pretty sure Grixby won't be playing much next year, but you have to be careful with the confidence of these young kids. I don't think we have to information to be speculating that Thenarse or Culbert or whoever would do any better, but I think Shanle and Grixby need to at least start sharing time with these younger guys. Hawkeyehusker
Our defensive backs also need to be taught to look for the ball. We lose too many interception opportunities playing the way they are. Quote Link to comment
rawhide
After the first quarter I don't think it mattered who was in our backfield. The line play allowed the pokies to be two dimensional. Not a good thing to have happen. Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
i said that time and again, especially about grix......it's the gd coaching i tell you! look at high light reels from other games and you will see the dbs looking back for the ball many times......sh#t, our DB coaches suck, simple as that......and lack of talent makes it worse......Missouri and Chase Daniel will feast on our ass when we play them and A&M on the road will be another killer......seriously, i give them no chance to win the north after this collapse......i know it is only one game, but we can't even play well in the weak-ass Big 12 Quote Link to comment
TrueHuskerFan
Maybe our DB's aren't good enough to look back while playing the reciever. Maybe they've tried it in practice and just get totally burned... Just speculating, but if that's the case we need to get someone who can play the reciever AND the ball out on the field. NU fan in Denver
I was watching the Oregon state USC game and when USC was inside the 10 OSU's corners we a yard off the line of scrimmage??? What the hell were they thinking??? Quote Link to comment

I'm wondering if at least part of this loss is due to somewhat of an emotional let down after last week. Quote Link to comment
strigori
The defenseive issues were not alone to the DBs. There were a ton of long running plays. The whole defense played like crap in the 2nd and 4th quarters. Quote Link to comment

HuskerfaninOkieland
Who was #9 Wilson? I seen him playing in the secondary at one point. Grixby got burned a lot tonight. Bowman was able to get him turned around way to easily with just a little head fake. Quote Link to comment
