north_texas_nebraskan
While traveling this week I believe I read on this board that an announcement was coming stating that Norvell would be the next Head Coach at Iowa State. Did I read this incorrectly? Reason being, I see on ESPN.com that Iowa State will announce their Head Coach Tomorrow. Hawkeyehusker
I have heard it is Brian Kelly from Cen. Michigan. I heard the same thing on KETV. He is a good coach. He'll do well at ISU. Quote Link to comment

HuskerfaninOkieland
It appears Gene Chizik is the new Iowa St head coach. Iowa St fans on the ISU Scout forum are saying it was reported on a couple of radio and news channels there as well as in Austin. Quote Link to comment
AgMarauder04
Guess ISU doesn't see stopping the option as a big priority Quote Link to comment
beamout2000
Apparently it is Chizik although there is nothing in the local paper or on TV down here about it that I have seen. I have been trolling websites all morning and can't find anything "official" on it but that's the talk down here. Quote Link to comment
DJR313
Does this officially mean that ESPN collectively doesn't know its ass from its elbow? Quote Link to comment

bornNUred
I would have gone for somebody with head coaching experience. That's how I would turn a program around. Quote Link to comment
