MadcatNU
mentions Buddy Wyatt, Alabama D line coach under Shula, as a possibility. Before Bama was at A&M. http://www.journalstar.com/blog/huskers.php kinda suprised. usually i hear stuff from this site before anywhere. if someone's already posted this i apologize Quote Link to comment
pigsonthewing
If he does take the job, it could help on the recruiting front, him being from Texas and all and coaching in Texas. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Sounds like he could be a good one............. Quote Link to comment
HuskerJosh82
I hope so. Losing Blake a guy like Blake is going to be a tough one to replace. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
Jeremy Crabtree was talking about him earlier on 1620 and said Wyatt is an excellent recruiter and is especially strong in the Southeast. He also mentioned that he and others were surprised how few recruits Blake was actually in on. There was speculation Nebraska may have seen the writing on the wall for awhile and may have wanted to minimize Blake's exposure. Quote Link to comment

oviedol55
From everything I've heard, this is as good as done. Not official yet so don't hold me to it, but by all accounts it will be him. I'm very happy with this one. Very good, young African American coach who can recruit and has sent quite a few players to the league. Quote Link to comment
HuskerHank
The Alabama defensive stats over his 3 years are very good.I'd be very surprised if he doesn't jump at the chance to leave Alabama for Nebraska....kinda like a rat jumping off a burning ship. And maybe, if he's as good as advertised, he can take over the DC position, hopefully sooner, rather than later. Drowning_in_the_Sea_of_Red
Maybe now we could bring in some of that SEC speed on defense Quote Link to comment
Eric the Red
Tidbit: Wyatt has worked with Tim Cassidy and Shawn Watson before. Quote Link to comment
DJR313
This guy sounds like he might be a pretty darn good hire. Lost a good one in Blake, might get a good one in this guy. Even Steven. Quote Link to comment
Benard
He sure hasn't done much in recruiting for Alabama. He won't be half the recruiter of Blake but probably will be twice the coach as him, won't take much there. Quote Link to comment
