TX-Husker-2011
Jul. 17, 2007 NCAA Football 08 Season Simulation Every year, EA SPORTS simulates the upcoming college football season using the latest iteration of NCAA Football. Last season, NCAA Football 07 correctly predicted the Florida Gators as champions. Could NCAA Football 08 repeat 07's prediction success? This year NCAA Football 08 has USC winning the BCS Championship game 28-23 against Oklahoma. The Trojans wrapped up their NCAA Football 08 season with a 13-0 record, the only team in college football to go undefeated. Other notable Bowl games included a decisive 38-22 Louisville win over Tennessee in the Sugar Bowl, a 35 -23 Virginia Tech victory over West Virginia in the Fed Ex Orange Bowl, and 42-17 blowout by Florida over Michigan in the Rose Bowl. A number of players had big years in this season?s simulation. Arkansas HB #5 racked up 2,272 rushing yards and 20 TDs, earning him Heisman Trophy and Maxwell Award honors. Hawaii QB #15 was a runner up for the Heisman and passed for 4,716 yards, winning him the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award. His strong performance propelled Hawaii to an impressive 12-1 record, placing them 11th in the final Top 25 Media Poll. Rivalry games provided some interesting results as well. Florida defeated Florida State 24-17, while Michigan narrowly edged out Ohio State in a 42-39 battle. Army came out on top of Navy 30-27 in their classic match up, and Alabama put a hurting on Auburn 42-20 in the Iron Bowl. or the full simulation details including the final Top 25 Media Poll, Heisman Trophy winner, and bowl game results, download the complete season simulation document here. Source: http://www.easports.com/ncaa08/ Just for reference, they had NU finishing 12-2, DOMINATING the Fiesta Bowl over Hawaii, and finishing the season ranked 5th overall. EA predicted last year's national championship game and the champion correctly. Please let them be right again this year... Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
I wonder who they had us losing too??? Obviously we don't win the Big XII then because Oklahoma was in the BCS Championship game. I don't think I could take two years of losing to them!!! However; at the same time they have us playing in the Fiesta Bowl??? I could do 12-2 with a Top 5 finish!!!! Quote Link to comment
TX-Husker-2011
^ Hell yea. That would be beautiful. Honestly...I'd much rather play OU in the Big XII championship than Texas. That's just being honest. Quote Link to comment
MCAT800
I'd take a Fiesta Bowl victory!!!! Also I can't see Alabama scoring 42 on Auburn unless Auburns run is over Quote Link to comment
Blackshirt316
So if USC went 13-0 that is one of our losses and since we went 12-2 and OU played in the title game this means we went undefeated in big 12 play and lost to OU in the CCG. I'll take that. Quote Link to comment
TX-Husker-2011
^ That means we beat Texas...wow. Quote Link to comment
HuskerJosh82
Fiesta Bowl is the next stepping stone. Quote Link to comment
Pedro Guerrero
If it's in the Game then it's in the Game. Look's like we are going to the Fiesta Bowl. Bring on June Jones and Jerry Glanville. Quote Link to comment
BGREDSTUCKN IA
They seriously had OSU losing to Florida in last years pre season simulation? I don't think anyone would of guessed that. Quote Link to comment

Probably not Florida over OSU, but Florida winning it all. It may have been another team simulated in the championship. Quote Link to comment

Landlord
Unless the winner of the Big XII is going to play in the national championship, then the loser of the championship game would go to the Fiesta Bowl. Quote Link to comment
husker rob
Unless the winner of the Big XII is going to play in the national championship, then the loser of the championship game would go to the Fiesta Bowl. not necessarily. depending on the losers record, they might get an at large bid, it is not an automatic birth in the Fiesta bowl if the winner plays for the NC Quote Link to comment
Landlord
Well, right, just as much as it's not an automatic bid that the winner plays in the fiesta bowl. Quote Link to comment
