thebitjockey
Callahan? (maybe a way to get out of giving him free money) Ernie Chambers? (that could be very interesting) Barry Switzer? Barry Alvarez? Charlie McBride? Warren Buffet? Quote Link to comment
HuskerJosh
Ernie Chambers? Do you want to turn our university athletic department into the joke he made of the State legislature? It wouldn't be "interesting," it would be a disaster. Barry Alvarez isn't a bad idea, though I don't know if he'd leave Wisconsin. Quote Link to comment
trouble
Rimington. If your serious on half your list Im going to say your on crack. Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
Dave Rimington Quote Link to comment
knapplc
I would get a kick out of Barry Switzer as our AD, but I doubt he ever takes the job. I'd love for TO to stay on for a few years, but I doubt he would. I don't know enough about Dave Rimington these days to want him, but I haven't heard anything that makes me think he'd be a bad choice. Quote Link to comment
np_husker
Callahan? (maybe a way to get out of giving him free money) Ernie Chambers? (that could be very interesting) Barry Switzer? Barry Alvarez? Charlie McBride? Warren Buffet? Not one of those names makes sense. Why would Alvarez leave Wisconsin after he has formed a nice legacy? The other names are just stupid. Why not list Bill Clinton or George W. Bush? Bush will be looking for a job in about a year. Quote Link to comment
thebitjockey
With all the rumors floating around I'm getting a kick that ANYONE thought my list was serious. If you did, then wow you must not have had your morning coffee yet! Quote Link to comment

If you did, then wow you must not have had your morning coffee yet! This is true... Though I might still be a bit drunk from Happy hour last night at Old Chicago. Quote Link to comment

huskerbatt52
My vote would be for formed NU running back Scott Baldwin. I think he could really get some things done. Quote Link to comment
junior4949
I think TO is the permenant AD. With the firing of a coach and now the hiring of a coach, I think TO will be around for at least 3 more years. I don't know whether this qualifies as permenant or not, but 3 years at the least will be TO's tenure. Quote Link to comment
admo
Rimington. Just because he was a badazz offensive lineman (center) and had funny 80s hair. Quote Link to comment
TLS2
Callahan? (maybe a way to get out of giving him free money) Ernie Chambers? (that could be very interesting) Barry Switzer? Barry Alvarez? Charlie McBride? Warren Buffet? I predict Paul Meyer will be chosen as the permanent AD. I think that when he left, the shake up began at NU. Osborne was really happy that Paul was invited back and that he came back. Paul Meyer is a HUGE fundraising power at NU so I'm sure he will be strongly considered. The AD is not just AD for the football program but the overseer for ALL sports. Paul has the experience to take on this massive job. Quote Link to comment
