BuzzardBilly
50th? 60th? 70th? The LOWER the better. It will make the climb back to the top that much more SATISFYING! Quote Link to comment
captain obvious
There will be no pre-season ranking. Quote Link to comment
ironmike
below Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Okie State, and possibly Colorado. I wouldn't be surprised if we're picked 7th in the B12 (this is just preseason, I truly believe we will be much higher at the end of the year). Quote Link to comment
Touchdown Tommie
Right above KSUcks and Iowa State.... Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
We'll be ranked right around the "Pre-Season Rankings Are Stupid" and "They should do away with Pre-season Rankings" area Quote Link to comment

np_husker
We'll start the season unranked and remain that way for probably a month and then enter the low end of the rankings. Even if we start out of the season winning, I think a lot of pollsters will be hesitant to do anything with us until we prove something, and I really don't have a problem with that. Wally
Unproven team with an unproven head coach, the Huskers won't be ranked in preseason polls. If the season starts with impressive wins we'll move into the 20-25 area until we show we can defeat quality opponents. Quote Link to comment
MOD_CHAMPION
You guys think if we win our first 3 games (3rd game being VT) that that would be enough to get us into the top 25? Quote Link to comment
DCHusker
Actually, VT is our fourth game, but I would think knocking off VT would put us between 20 and 25. Of course it would depend on where VT is ranked at the time we play them. And of course it would require that we have our act together enough that we can go out and play a great game only a few games into the season. Quote Link to comment
REDSTEEL
Receiving votes would be my guess. Quote Link to comment
MOD_CHAMPION
Yeah sorry thought VT was 3rd, anyways assuming VT beats Kansas, that should put them at a very solid pre-season ranking next year and the beginning of their schedule is as follows: Aug. 30 vs. East Carolina Charlotte, N.C. Sept. 6 Furman Blacksburg, Va. Sept. 27 at Nebraska Lincoln, Neb. Fairly sure they will handily beat both East Carolina and Furman and then a bye week, so they will be undefeated and will have started with a good pre-season ranking meaning there's a good chance they'd be in the top 10 maybe even top 5 when we have to play them. VT will be ranked in the top 10 or maybe the top 5 when we play them. If we beat them (and all those prior to the VT game) we will undoubtedly be ranked. That said, the odds of beating VT are very, very, very, very slim indeed. But you never know --- stranger things have happened (just not very often!). Quote Link to comment
