He'll get drafted. Hell, there are teams that throw away draft picks on QBs from Hofstra in the 6th and 7th rounds. Purify is an awesome red zone receiver, hasn't had too many problems catching the ball, and has a real good vertical. Some team will take a flier on him in the 5th.

My money is on the Chiefs. Awesome 2nd WR to take over for Bowe when he moves into Kennison's spot next year.

Don't jinx him with the Chiefs...they are notoriously bad on draft day. Remember, this is the team that picked the kicker from UCLA over Mason Crosby. The kid was released after the first game.

To borrow a quote from A Bronx Tale, "Wasted Talent."

free agent.

wasted talent how? because Cally didn't start him his junior year or part of his senior year?

ridiculous..

whenever the guy had a chance to play, he excelled.. he was one of the bright spots for us on offense this year...

if your gonna call him wasted talent, at least provide an example.

Please and Thanks.

Exactly because Callahan left him on the bench so long. Hands and speed are great, but nothing substitutes for reps in game situations. No NFL team is going to want to draft him just to sit him on the bench for the next two years. He has to be able to play NOW. 5th or 6th round at best. Undrafted probable. I'm thinking he winds up in the CFL.

yet again, how has he shown he isn't ready to play? i can see 5th round.. but i'm doubting that he will go undrafted.. and almost willing to guarantee that he won't be playing in the CFL right away, he'll make a roster somewhere... but every opportunity he's has he has shown that he is ready to succeed.. its not his fault cally started him 4 out of the 11 games he was eligible this past season....

Another thing that no one has mentioned is that NFL teams may shy away from him because of the baggage. Like it or not, MO has had a lot of problems recently...that may scare some teams off.

and what recent problems? the 2 incidents that occured a year ago and are part of the past? where was the repeat offenses? 2 times.. people make mistakes.. i'm HIGHLY doubting that this would be any reason at all for a team not to draft him...

Depends on the combines. Probably second day, if at all. Speed, speed, speed.

Dwayne Jarrett ran a 4.6+ and was in the top 40 last year. Mike Williams ran nearly a 4.7 and was a top 10 pick.

Also, I am not sure what to make of the "wasted talent" comment. Does that mean his talent was not fully utilized here or that he has a lot of talent and chose not to utilize it. Kinda confused about that, because taken at face value, I am not sure if I agree.

Just my opinion, but a WR with not a lot of game time reps, from a bad team (lets face it, NU was one last year) a history of trouble and not being able to get out of his own way, what I'm guessing to be a piss poor Wonderlic test, and ho-hum stats. Free agent.

But the NFL doesn't draft based upon "fair". They draft players they think will win them ball games. Moe may not have shown that he ISN't ready, but with so little playing time he hasn't shown that he is. If playing in..what, 7 or 8 games over two years was enough, there's HUNDREDS of sophmore receivers that would get drafted. The pros want a DEVELOPED player.

Wasted talent..............too slow............legal issues................blah blah blah the bottom line is when you throw him the f'ing ball he catches it, scouts like that :)

Sure they like that. But see above. There's a hundred or more receivers available at any one time. They have a smorgasbord to choose from. Compare Moe to them. If you have Purify available with 8 games experience at D1 level, and a hundred others with 30 games experience, what choice do you make?

Don't get me wrong. I love the guy. I WANT him to get drafted. But serious expectations say free agent or CFL is more likely.
