huskerguy
Watch Here Theres only 6 teams in the league so far and in the first round 2 of the picks were former 'skers... Eric Crouch (Texas) and Josh Sewell (Alabama) The league is looking to expand for next year and Nebraska is a consideration for a team fyi. Quote Link to comment
Touchdown Tommie
I wonder if this league will stick. If Nebraska gets a team, I am sure we will see more former NU players. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirt316
Alabama looks to be Husker Heaven, they took Mike Erickson to go along with Sewell. Sounds like a power run game to me. Quote Link to comment
hastingshusker
I was looking at the Texas Roster and they already have a QB. He played for Texas Tech in 2003. Wonder if Crouch is gonna be a backup again. Could be interesting. Quote Link to comment

I don't know a lot about this league but I believe the original players on the roster, like before the draft are guys that were from that certain area. I would think if he was the first player they chose he would be their starting QB... Quote Link to comment
Huskers4ever
It probably depends somewhat on what type of offense they run. I don't think many people would argue that Crouch could run a pass heavy offense better than Kliff Kingsbury, or that Kingsbury could be a dual threat QB that Crouch could be. Quote Link to comment
strigori
XFL 2.0 This will be a one and one thing I'm sure. People have no reason to care about these teams. Just look at the various indoor football and how little interest people have in them. Quote Link to comment

Sorry I forgot the name earlier but just checked again. Its BJ Symons Quote Link to comment
Huskers4ever
They also have Kliff Kingsbury (Round 24), Tech's QB before Symons (Round 36). Could be quite the battle for the QB position. Quote Link to comment
strigori
Kingsbury was on a NFL roster last I checked(maybe cut I dont know for sure) but I couldnt see anyone in the NFL, even a 3rd sting guy, jumping for this. Quote Link to comment
simplekin
Anyone have a link to see what the picks were? I don't feel like waiting on that ticker at the bottom of the page. Quote Link to comment

Noticed that "He Hate Me" (of XFL fame, a.k.a. 'Rod Smart' in the NFL) was drafted right after B.J. Simons in the 38th round.......... Quote Link to comment
Captain K
As far as Crouch is concerned, I am reminded of Charlie Brown's line in his Christmas special. " I already know no one likes me, did they have to create a holiday season just to emphasize it." I guess if this doesn't work out, maybe they'll start a league just for guys named Eric.
