The official T-shirt of Nebraska football not only rallies unified support behind the Huskers, it also serves as a fund-raising source for NUonWheels - a student-funded safe ride home program at the University of Nebraska. Pariticipating retailers, including the Huskers Authentic Team Store, give $5 per shirt sold to the NUonWheels program. NUon Wheels, which was started in 1999, provides any University of Nebraska student with a valid ID a safe ride home seven days a week from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. during the school year.
