Visitors?

Recommended Posts

Apparently a bunch of other unofficials including some 2010 guys.

Scout of course has more details. From the teaser:

While many might look back at the opening weekend in Lincoln as a missed opportunity to bring in any official visitors; the Huskers did redeem themselves by bringing in the top two junior prospects from the state. Along with Andrew Rodriguez from Aurora (Nebr.) in the stands was Antaries Daniels, a running back from Omaha (Nebr.) Northwest, who left a good impression at camp.

Here's the teaser for Rodriguez:

The timing of the weekend’s game might have been convenient. The Huskers were able to bring in one of the top in-state targets for 2010 before the actual date to extend offers. It was probably enough to just allude to the fact that an offer is coming to get Andrew Rodriguez really thinking about the possibility of being a Nebraska Cornhusker.

No OV from anyone. Everybody that visited was taking an unofficial which is a bit disappointing considering the atmosphere they could have witnessed.

From the prospects standpoint, what's the difference between an official and unofficial?

On an official visit, the university pays for you to come visit. This includes airfare and lodging. On an unofficial, you pay your own way.

Do the kids get "all access" on unofficials?? Do they have to buy their own game ticket too?

Yeah, when you take an unofficial, they give you the same treatment as all the other recruits. You get into the game for free (you don't need tickets for the sideline).
