tattooedhusker
I have to make a decision soon, otherwise the money will be gone. I'm looking into 52" TV's and larger, but need some help deciding between a DLP and a LCD TV. Anyone have experience with one or both? Quote Link to comment
huskerguy
I always here DLP is the best, its just a matter of money Quote Link to comment
tattooedhusker
I know DLP you get more bang for your buck (size wise) but I have it narrowed down to a 52" LCD or 60" DLP, just a matter of deciding Quote Link to comment
Overland Park Husker
I know DLP you get more bang for your buck (size wise) but I have it narrowed down to a 52" LCD or 60" DLP, just a matter of deciding I've always favored DLP due to the bang for your buck, but its becoming a dying technology (probably due to the creepy girl from the commercials). Samsung DLP's beat most of the LCD's on the market today. Quote Link to comment
Landlord
What Overland said. Get the DLP, it's so much cheaper and if you ask me the picture is even better than you'll find on an LCD. The only drawback to me is how deep and heavy the TV's are, but that's not what you should be worried about. Samsung for the win also. Quote Link to comment
strigori
52 an larger LCDs are going to get very, very expensive. DLP will save a lot of money. Make sure you are not one of those rare people who see 'rainbows' on DLP sets though. If you want to go really big, think about a DLP projector. Quote Link to comment
I See Red People
DLP - What are you waiting for? Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
I'm actually going to be buying THIS television in the next week or so. I can't get anything bigger than a '46 for my living room as I only sit about 10 feet away or so from the TV now. Also, for the money and the reviews that come along with it I can't beat it. With two little ones on the way I can't get anything more expensive. Quote Link to comment
tattooedhusker
I think I may have decided on THIS one Quote Link to comment

Landlord
because I don't live in clearwater FL I guess I didn't pay attention close enough, but if anyone doesn't mind a refurbished tv, let me know and I'll save you quite a few hundred dollars. Getting a 52" 1080p DLP for $800 myself. Quote Link to comment
