BlackShirt1340
Cyclones roll up over 500 yards of offense on Kansas AT KANSAS.... KU barely pulls off a win against a garbage Iowa State team. Jayhawker... how confident are you feeling about that game now? Our defense just MIGHT be a little better than ISUs... be afraid Quote Link to comment

Which means that KU beating them puts them in the drivers seat for the MNC!!!!!! Damn must be a great year to be a jayhawks fan! Quote Link to comment
Enhance
Well I for one am not going to be overconfident about beating KU. We need to score points to win, need to sustain drives and make good play calls. D cant win them all for us. The thing about good defense though, is that it is always there for you. Offenses will have their games where they can't get anything done consistently, like we saw against VaTech and the first three quarters against MU. But our defense has been there all season so far, and I expect them to be there for the rest of it. Quote Link to comment
TheCheshireCat
A team with a great defense is always in the game. A team with a great offense is not necessarily always in the game. Without our D Thursday night, we'd have had no hope of coming back once the offense started clicking because they'd have had a big lead on us. I'd take an excellent D over an excellent O any day. carlfense
I'm sure Suh will get his against KU. I just am not sure he can catch sharp and his 4.2 speed. You'd better hope you don't need a big running day to win against NU. I don't think given your porous defense that your rushing game can score enough points to keep you in the lead. Plus, 4.2 speed (which I don't believe for a second) doesn't mean squat when our DL meets Sharp 3 yards in the backfield. Quote Link to comment
Ohio Pete
Doesn't sound like he's running at full speed Kansas coach Mark Mangino told The Topeka Capital-Journal that he is not exactly sure what's wrong with running back Jake Sharp. "He is just not healing at the rate our medical staff would like for him to" said the coach. Quote Link to comment
