California Husker
Stupid play no doubt, but at least the officials caught it They threw the flag and still got the penalty wrong. Punch = Immediate ejection. For sure! I was screaming at the TV, "Why is that guy still in the game?" It doesn't matter if he hurt anyone. Throwing a punch is supposed to be an automatic ejection. Vuren
Stupid play no doubt, but at least the officials caught it yes and no, if any player punches it's an automatic suspension, you could see the big 12 issue it for the next game. Quote Link to comment
walksalone
It was completely bush league... Quote Link to comment
JTrain
I thought it was in the second half... Quote Link to comment
cscott2win
I'm sure the league officials will review that and a possible game suspension could occur. Pretty blatant. Quote Link to comment
shyndy
While I'm not a big fan of dirty play, I think spoon was probably thinking the player was trying to take out his knees, when he just fell down or w/e, which is why he was mad. Quote Link to comment

Doesn't matter. Cut blocks like that are legal, whether he likes it or not. He should have been ejected. Quote Link to comment
MNBIGRED
Was this when he got the 15 yard penalty or a different play? I though he punched Burkhead in the back of the helmet or maybe I saw the numbers wrong. He also pushed Lee after he tackled him on a QB keeper up the middle. Moral of the story Weatherspoon is a prick. Quote Link to comment

rawhide
I know punches to the back are illegal. 15yds 1st down nuff said. I never heard if any fans were hurt by the vicious NU players after the game though. Oh yeah, there weren't enough left to start any trouble. j/k cheap shot GBR Quote Link to comment
Street Novelist
I thought punching a player was grounds for immediate ejection from a game. Isn't that a rule? Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
Suh's horse collar call was way off too....typical Missouri officiating. Quote Link to comment
broganreynik
Suh's horse collar call was way off too....typical Missouri officiating. Not to mention the 5 helmet to helmet hits that Mizzou had before they finally called that one on the option Zac Lee pitched it. Quote Link to comment
Vince from ShamWOW
Stupid play no doubt, but at least the officials caught it Shouldn't he have been ejected for punching a player? Especially punching a player in the back. Quote Link to comment
