Huskerdownunder
Addressing offensive position players, Watson noted that I-back Roy Helu Jr. was feeling "fresh, he feels healthy and is having good practices." Watson also added that freshman quarterback Cody Green will have a place in the Huskers' game plan against Arizona. "He is going to play. We want him to have an opportunity to play and looking into the future, a chance to set up the competition. There is a place for him to play in this game and we want him to move forward and evaluate him in a game situation against another good team like Arizona." ----- Sounds interesting, i hope he does play a bit, i need something new to watch on offense. It's a good time to be deciding whether he's the future or not i think, the defense will do their job as always, he just has to step up and show people he can do something. Quote Link to comment
TheCheshireCat
Cody Green may not be the future, but I know Zac Lee sure as hell isn't the future. Not unless he has a turnaround of miraculous proportions. This game is not that important really. Why not see what Green can do managing the entire game? Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
although he has had all year to learn the O, i don't know that playing well or poorly in this game will be a precursor to his future. he needs to be more than just a running threat. having said that, Lee playing the whole game would likely not be a good thing. AJMILLAHUSKER
How are you gonna say that the last game of the year isn't important?! This would be our first ten win season since 2001! Quote Link to comment
Nexus
There is incentive in this game. 10 wins Revenge for '98 Holiday Bowl Last chance to make an impression on potential recruits Quote Link to comment

Actually 2003 was our last 10 win season. It was Pelini who got us that 10th win too. How's that for poetic justice? Quote Link to comment
huskerguy
This game is important however I don't believe whether we play Green or Lee will make that much difference in the game. I guess I'm glad he will play, but the way this is said it likely means Green won't start. However when they say he will be incorporated into the game plan makes me think they set up some Run plays for him which will be interesting to see. This offense is/has been at rock bottom, trying new guys isn't going to hurt much. Quote Link to comment
Huskerdownunder
Every game is important. And it's a bowl game, not a friendly exhibition. Quote Link to comment
Twodocs
good golly molly! a forum to bash our QB and our band ourbowl game and every nuance this is just like the NFL Quote Link to comment
TheCheshireCat
Okay yeah you have momentum but it's really not that important. Face it and try to express yourself in a better way than using a stupid-ass yellow figure for your feelings General Blackshirt. I'm sure you're smarter than that. You play for pride and for the 10 wins and for the money you get, but what I'm saying is that I think it's more valuable to get experience out of what will likely be next year's QB than it is to eek out a win with Zac Lee. The future and next year specifically are more important to me than winning the Holiday Bowl. I'd rather see Green get to prove himself and work on management. Quote Link to comment
HSKRNOKC
Beating Bobby and Mikey both in the same year would be sweet! Quote Link to comment

Danimal
I'm hoping to see a real offense in the bowl. Might help us down the homestretch of recruiting and could help set the tone for 2010. But most of all I want to see that 10th win and the accompanying top20 finish. Quote Link to comment
