Texas turns down NU/ESPN for Thursday night game...

Recommended Posts

Didn't look at the original article until just now, but yeah, it would probably be ok. In theory, it would also help to have some extra time to prepare for Texas, but that didn't end up working to well against Texas Tech during this past season.

We just didn't match up well at all with Texas Tech under Mike Leach. I'm glad that man is gone.

Agreed. Leach was a master at what he did, and no matter what we tried we just couldn't pull out a win against him. Huge thorn in our side.

We'll have to see how Tuberville does down there. I'm inclined to believe he won't be overly successful simply because I have a pre-determined notion about coaches like him: getting fired from one job for losing doesn't give people a boat load of confidence that you can get the job done.

My wife and I went to the Rice game after 9/11 which was on a Thursday night. It was the only time I saw Crouch play in person. "Man, that kid can run" is the first thing I said to her when I saw run him run.

Bogus. I was at that game and I didn't see you.

OK, OK, I'm willing to believe you. This time.

He was good for the conference. I want to beat Texas Tech into submission. When we play them in a couple of year I dont want to hear thier excuses about not having their coach and we would have won if he was there.

That being said Tuberville is an SEC coach and I suspect he will be albe to get some stuff done. All the coaches and cooridinators that come from the Sec to the Big 12 have found success.

The atmosphere at that game was so weird (maybe unique is a better word) it was like no other husker gameday I have ever experienced.

Weird nailed it.
