Apathy
He said that he is very honored to get a scholarship from Nebraska and wants to see the campus this summer before the season starts and meet some players. I like our chances with this kid because his Dad used to play football with the coach who offered him the scholarship. Not sure which coach it is but that could help us out in the long run. Does anybody know which coach offered Tre? He will also be playing in the US Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio Quote Link to comment

Madden's coach is a high profile nationally renowned QB coach named Bob Johnson (Mark Sanchez's HS coach). If you recall a couple of months ago when Tom Shatel did that Q&A with Shawn Watson after the Holiday Bowl, Wats mentions Bob Johnson. He said that he seeks out advice from Johnson as it pertains to seeking out good HS QBs for recruiting. Furthermore, Bob Johnson's son is Rob Johnson who was the QB for the Bucs when they won the Super Bowl in 2002. Bob was also named the NFL HS Coach of the Year in 2009. Last but not least Bob along with his sons Rob and Bret run a successful camp called Camp Quarterback. Here are some of the more famous ones that have attended: Drew Brees Aaron Rodgers Jay Cutler Carson Palmer Mark Sanchez Matt Schaub Ben Roethlisberger Matt Cassel Matthew Stafford Kyle Orton JaMarcus Russell Pat White Trent Edwards Derek Anderson Quote Link to comment
Apathy
Tre Madden came out of the NIKE Camp in Los Angeles as the #4 top performer. Todd Barr who has a NU scholarship offer for DT came out of the NIKE Camp as the #6 top performer. Also Nebraska is looking at Brandon Wright for RB and he came out of the NIKE Camp as the #10 top performer. We have not offered Wright a scholarship yet. Quote Link to comment
Apathy
Joining Thomas as position MVPs on defense were linebacker Tre Madden of Mission Viejo (Mission Viejo, Calif.) and lineman Greg Townsend Jr. of Beverly Hills (Beverly Hills, Calif.). Madden, who currently holds an offer from Washington, was solid in all areas of the game and did a great job in coverage. He was arguably the top defender on a stout defense last year that led the Diablos to a 10-0 regular season and the CIF Southern Section Pac-Five semifinals. Link 1 Quote Link to comment
Danny Bateman
Rivals mentions that we're one of Tre's two offers, as well as saying he has a connection with the coaching staff. That would help explain us being in on the kid early. Does anyone know who the connection is? Quote Link to comment

RockyMountainOySker
Tre's highlight reel looks great to me. Smart player...knows the game, fast, and loves to hit. Quote Link to comment
Apathy
Arizona State has offered. Other schools showing interest are UCLA, Oregon, USC, California, and Minnesota. Plan on Nebraska staying involved throughout his recruiting journey because of his fathers connection with Mike Ekeler Quote Link to comment
Apathy
USC offered Ya you knew that was coming after his performance at the NIKE Camp in LA....it was just a matter of time when USC was going to offer. Quote Link to comment
