kansas husker
did anybody else think that stop was way to quick? Quote Link to comment
GSG
He wasn't going to get out of it, but Matyushenko wasn't even hurt. "Have to protect the fighters" Quote Link to comment
kansas husker
agreed that he probably wouldn't have gotten out but what a waste of a main event, the fight had just started and they called the knock out Matyushenko didn't even look effected by the blows. Quote Link to comment
Apathy
did anybody else think that stop was way to quick? Not at all. There is no way he would've gotten out of that and Jon Jones would've messed that dudes face up if it would've keep on going and it would've been nasty. Jon Jones is a freak of nature. GSG
I'm not really buying the Jones hype....yet. I say Joe Silva throws him into the fire with his next fight, and we'll see what he's made of. The other fights were pretty decent. The Griffin-Gomi fight kinda surprised me, looked like it surprised Griffin too. Munoz looked like he hurt Okami a little bit in the second round, but instead of continuing to go after him, he tried for a takedown even though he'd been getting stuffed all night. Omaha-boy Jake Ellenberger f'ed up John Howard's face big time. Sucks that the fight has to end that way, but I'm sure Howard's orbital is broken in multiple places. And how about that pre-lim fight they showed between Oliveira and Elkins. That was some slick jiu-jitsu. Quote Link to comment

I've bought into the Jones hype but I noticed before the fight he just seemed a little cocky and so into himself....I hope he doesn't turn out to be another Anderson Silva with the cockiness/taunting. I was extremely upset with Munoz last night. He tried those takedowns over and over with no luck....he might of got 1-2 takedowns after trying 15 other times. He had Okami hurt in the 2nd round and never took advantage of that. Quote Link to comment
