huskerdana
I want to see some of the younger DE step up this yr. Josh and David are the top two I want to come in and make some noise. I want the old pinch end like Van, Wistrom, Tomich Any thoughts? Quote Link to comment
n.e.husker
Pierre will be healthy and will be beastly this year. But i think the combo of Merideth and Ankrah will be scary good as well. Last year all we heard was that JA was tearing it up with the 1's. Thats alot of speed coming off the edge this year. And Cam has the mustache Edited August 2, 2010 by n.e.husker Quote Link to comment
huzkerbob
Allow me to quote from one of my previous posts.... I'm hoping Ankrah can make a "Meredith" like impression in a reserve role this season. That kid has all the tools he needs to be an all-conference DE in the future. Quote Link to comment
huskerscott
Gotta go with Ankrah and Williams. If those two step it up then we can rotate them in more, and keep Allen-Meredith fresh. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
I expect big things out of Meredith and Allen this year. I was dogging on Turner and Allen last year, but then I found out they were both injured and they were both asked to be more "containment" guys than rush ends. Different roles than I thought they'd have, but of course you can't have EVERYBODY bull-rushing the QB all the time. That was reserved for Suh last year, and it worked good enough to make them the best defensive unit in the land. This year I think we'll go back to having stout DTs and some rush-end stuff like we had from Wistrom back in the day, and I am already having dreams of Meredith blowing past Elvis Fisher and SMOOOSHing Blaine Gabbert. And once Meredith gets tired of plowing into the Gab, we'll sick Ankrah on him. Quote Link to comment

HuskerfaninOkieland
I have to say Pierre Allen. He's a Senior. He knows the plays. He should know how to read an offense. And he should definitely be the/a leader on the defense this year. With no injuries to hamper him, he should hopefully have a stellar year. Quote Link to comment
Igetbored216
I really like the depth of our defensive line. To answer the question, I would love to see Ankrah use his speed and play making ability to step up. Watch out for #9! Quote Link to comment
deedsker15
i want to see allen become a forceful player like carriker and potter in recent years Quote Link to comment

I agree that Meredith and Ankrah are gonna be great. Lookin for both to step up big time this fall. Quote Link to comment
craigsker
I'm pretty stoked for Cameron Meredith this year. I'm hoping he has a big year. Quote Link to comment
GMoose
I think Williams needs to step up. We know Allen will be a beast, and Meredith is just waiting to burst onto the scene as a full timer. I also expect Ankrah to have a year kinda like Meredith had last year , but with a few more reps. If he plays as well as he's being talked up we're going to have a NASTY 2-deep pass rush.
