Bowl Projection

I read an article by Shatel recently where he said that Nebraska would either be in the Fiesta Bowl or the Insight Bowl. He thought because of the other bowls (Alamo, Cotton) wanting to take other teams, that'd be most likely if we didn't win the Big 12 championship. He also said a loss to Colorado would basically lock us into the Insight Bowl, where he thinks we'd play Michigan.

Based on experiences about four years ago, I'm still pretty happy that most are pissed if we are going to the Alamo Bowl. At least we are back in the correct neighborhood. Huskers need to shutout or at least hold CU to no TDs. I'd take three straight games without an opposing team scoring a TD. Hard to defend yourself if you're Watson at that point.

What exactly is the pecking order? Did it not change this year some? Holiday bowl takes like the 5th big 12 team, do they not?

if we lost, Id say the Alamo Bowl would love to take us, pitting us against a Big 10 team.

The Holiday bowl dropped behind the Insight bowl in the pecking order.

It's pretty hard to say since it'll depend entirely on how we do against Colorado, and if we win how we do in the CCG. On top of that, it depends on how potential opponents do in their final games. On top of that, we have to worry about whether Taylor can run or Zac can pass before we even begin thinking of any kind of decent bowl. If Taylor remains significantly hobbled, we're going to have a very difficult time beating Colorado, and we're going to have an even tougher time beating anyone we play in the CCG.

WAY too many variables to even begin discussing this yet.

I don't see us playing Arizona again, either. Been there, done that. Bowl officials wouldn't want a rematch of a 33-0 drubbing last year. I am pulling for Cotton vs. LSU, who I think will lose to Arkansas...

What if LSU beats AR Kansas? Who do you see us playing in a potential Cotton Bowl matchup then? LSU's offense seems to have finally awakened, and their defense will slow down the Hogs.

LSU's defense is overrated, IMO. They are not good against the pass at all. They couldn't slow down UNC, Cam Newton, or Ole Miss... Mallett should have a field day. If LSU does find a way to win, I would think our Cotton Bowl opponent would be the Razorbacks.

Its too hard to tell....answer me these questions that than I will get back with you:

1. Beat Colorado?

2. Who plays in Title Game?

3. Wil the BIG XII have one or two BCS Bowl bids?

Answer those three questions, and than I can give you a pretty good answer

The answer is you're obviously a pencil necked geek living in Mom's basement with nothing better to do than try to get even with all of those that use to take you lunch money..... like me.
