Saunders
The final rosters for Saturday's Red-White Spring Game were unveiled Thursday morning. The teams were selected by some of the 2011 Huskers seniors Wednesday afternoon and were finalized following Thursday's morning practice - the final workout for the Huskers before Saturday's 1 p.m. game. The Red team features big-play ability on offense with quarterback Taylor Martinez, wide receiver Brandon Kinnie and tight end Kyler Reed highlighting the offensive returning starters. The team also has a pair of experienced offensive tackles in Jermarcus Hardrick and Marcel Jones. The defense is anchored by a ball-hawking secondary which features all-conference cornerback Alfonzo Dennard and safeties Austin Cassidy and Courtney Osborne. The White team, which is looking to snap a five-game losing streak in the series, features strong play at the line of scrimmage. Senior center Mike Caputo and tight end Ben Cotton will look to break open some holes for I-back Rex Burkhead and quarterback Cody Green. On defense, Baker Steinkuhler and Terrence Moore anchor a defensive front, while All-American linebacker Lavonte David and Will Compton give the White team a physical defensive presence. knapplc
The Red Team has no RB. Collins Okafor and Austin Jones? Not keeping the White Team up at night, I'm thinking. Should see a lot of passing out of the Red team. Bo has also said that they'll limit T-Magic in this game... but the only other QB on the Red roster is Ron Kellogg. Either we're going to get a healthy dose of Ron, or Carnes is going to switch sides in this one. Quote Link to comment

Enhance
This game would definitely be a lot better to watch if we had some of that young talent at running back making their debuts. Oh well, though. Quote Link to comment
Bradr
Anyone else see white team set up to run the ball and defend against the run, while the red team is set up to pass and defend against the pass? Should be interesting. Carnes definitely needs to switch if Taylor is going to be limited/nonexistant. Quote Link to comment
PaulCrewe
I got the White team -6. Quote Link to comment
