How do I put someone on ignore?

It's not that, I want to block their posts completely, including avatar.

Ahhhh. Understood. Ha ha!

Look to the top left hand corner of the screen, to the right of member tools. Go to Manage Ignored Users. Enter the name of the member you want to block, and click the box on "ignore posts." Should be good to go.

For the Avatar, in your User Preferences under the “Forums” tab (next to “Settings”) you can uncheck “View members' avatars when reading topics?” That should do it.

 

Also, it turns out there is a way to Ignore users. I just had never used it.

I don't want to block everyone, just 1.

The best way to do that, saunders, is to use Adblock.

 

Not a built-in message board feature to my knowledge.
