It's been the popular thing for a few years with younger people, for some reason. Looks like we're going back to more red on the shoes which is nice, don't know about the socks though. I personally hate the look as well, I wish we would wear knee-highs with white/red trim shoes. Quote Link to comment

tschu Posted August 24, 2011 Share Posted August 24, 2011 I wonder how many jerseys they go through in a given year, especially since those form-fitting ones have got to rip easier than the loose ones. If anything, the form-fitting ones probably do not rip as easily as an old loose jersey. The fabric is stretchier so it has some "give," and like the name implies they are form-fitting so they stay tight to the athlete's body. Less loose parts means less to grab onto, catch on cleats/pads/facemasks during a play, etc, etc. Quote Link to comment
