zoogs
I really think Fonz deserves his own shout-out thread here. He looks completely back up to speed and really, I think he is the best corner we have had here in a long time. Losing him is really going to hurt next year, and I hope he imparts some of his swagger to the younger guys he is mentoring. He is athletic to be sure, but it's his fearlessness that really sets him apart. He relishes the idea of taking on receivers and shutting them down. Can't be more obvious that he loves having the ball thrown his way so he can get get in there and make a play on it. Love that feistiness. Even in the blowout against Wisconsin, he was lining up against receivers with a "c'mon, bring it" attitude...and last year, against Oklahoma State, he was just itching to get put on Blackmon. Move over Darelle Revis! He may have his own little island, but Isla Alfonzo has raptors on it (see NUance's picture ) What an incredible find by the staff back in 2008. We're watching a Husker legend in action and are lucky enough to be able to do so for a few more games yet... Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
Considering this was the first time since 2008 that Cunningham was held without a catch...hell yeahz! Dennard is huge for this defense! Quote Link to comment
macroboy
Aside from Rex for the huge workload Fonzie was the best player on the field. His swagger carried over into the rest of the D as well. Quote Link to comment
macroboy
and his cousin looked like a dingle berry. I think Fonzie will be killing him in the Twitter war. Quote Link to comment
BIG ERN
I said last year the Fonz was better than Prince. I'll stick with my decision. Just doesn't have the NFL type body like Prince does. Quote Link to comment
Haspula
Fonzie's going to the NFL! Quote Link to comment

His play could be the exact reason why the defense, more specifically the secondary , played the way it did. Quote Link to comment
Stumpy1
I was impressed with Andrew Greens play as well. Maybe something clicked for him and he finally understands it. Fonze is a great mentor to have for these young guys. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
I dunno, Dennard did give up a first down on that fourth and a mile play. Needs to step it up. Maybe it's time to see what his back up can do. Quote Link to comment
