Hoosker
(Mods: Delete this if this has already been discussed.) Am I the only one who absolutely hates it when the crowd tries to get the wave going in the 4th quarter? Sure, I can see it if were playing a creampuff and winning by 4 TDs, but I also saw it in the early parts of the 4th during the Ohio State game and the Michigan State game. These two contests were in no way, shape, or form over at that point. I guess I really have no problem with doing it when we're dominating, but it really irks me when a couple goons try and get it going when the game is coming down to the final couple possessions. That's the exact moment when our fans need to be locked in and be cheering the loudest. Am I a buzzkill or am I being logical? Quote Link to comment

knapplc
Some people really enjoy it. I hate it. I don't participate, but I don't begrudge them their fun. Quote Link to comment
Lil' Red
I like when were up by several scores and the game is well out of reach but I agree that it shouldn't happen in a close game. Quote Link to comment
dbetz23
To some people, going to the "Husker" game is a social event, an activity, something to do. The game is secondary. Quote Link to comment
tschu
Its usually either the band or the freshmen at the top of south stadium who start it. Quote Link to comment
Branno
I hate the wave so very much. Quote Link to comment
corncraze
I HATE THE WAVE!!! There's an actual game going on the field! Let's put our effort into that rather than the wave. Quote Link to comment
True2tRA
The wave is hilarious and fun. It's a good way to get some people off their butts and get them involved. Some involvement is better than no involvement. Trust me, I see plenty of people at the games showing no signs of caring. I often wonder why the hell they are even there. My daughter loves doing the wave and laughs her butt off every time that thing goes around and back to us. Anything that makes her smile is great in my book. 1 Quote Link to comment
