Spring Game, Wish List

Id like to see our Offense, not some vanilla plain-jane disguise of an Offense.

I dont want to wait until fall to get a glimpse of whats to come.

I need my fix!!

I'm with you. Let's run our offense so the players can get as comfortable as possible with it.

yeah...that.

The only thing I want to see is the offense showing more of a grasp of what they're doing. The defense should be a work in progress, so I'm not expecting a lot out of them.

One thing I would like to see is the 1's vs. the 1's, and not have these split squads. If they elect squads again there won't be much of anything to take from the game because it won't be guys who are used to working together.

I'm not sure if I want to see 1's vs 1's. Probably 1's vs 2's. For sure not the 1's vs 4's like last year.

1. I want to see Caveman destroy the #2 Oline.

2. I want to see Tmart blast at least one long run making our #2 defense look like they're in slow motion.

3. I want to see our #1 wrs actually catch the ball.

4. I want to see one of our #1 lbs look like Super-D.

I wish Taylor's form would be a lot better.

A lot better.

His form (which does need work) has not prevented him from getting passes close enough for our receivers to catch them. SEVERAL TV commentators have made this very point. He does need to work on when the pocket breaks down to get downfield like a Robinson. If he can do that as well as our receivers catching passes that they should, our offense is going to be very dangerous. How was Scott Frost's form for us? Shotput anyone?

I know it's not the most important thing to have fixed, but i'm being selfish.

I just don't like cringing every time he drops back to throw.

Did you cringe when Frost dropped back, or when Frazier did to hurl yet another pass that was too low?

I don't remember dude, I was pretty young when they were around. I may have. You'd have to check with my folks.

Or Frazier's pass was 15 yds (or more) above our wr's head on a sideline route?

Well, the young fans we have now can only remember the Clownahan years. To them, a run threat at qb is a non-issue and simply not needed. After all, Z. Taylor & J. Ganz were no threat to run so who needs it? I really don't blame them at all as they're all they've ever seen.

Us old geezers though.......

1's v 4's last year? Was it really? I thought it was the usual mish-mash of players.

I would like to see 1's v 1's, but the mixed rosters are not bad either.

Oh, a lot of it ended up that way. It was mixed too like you say. I'd just like as a fan to have a better idea of what the competition is without having to re-watch the scrimmage 400 times.

Ha....no biggie though.
