tschu
This list is way better than ESPN's list, by my drunken analysis. (I'm on trying to beat the ESPN sucks drum either because I think that Sports Illustrated [along with 90% of all of the media] sucks in general) And I agree with Bucky. Quote Link to comment

It'sNotAFakeID
I'm really shocked Fitzgerald didn't get ranked higher. That guy can flat-out coach. Makes me wonder what criteria they used to determine these rankings. And if the best CB pair in the B1G is Darqueeze (I have too many E's in my first name) Dennard and Johnny Adams, then I am perfectly okay with that. I really think our hardest non-con game is against Arkansas State, not UCLA. 1 Quote Link to comment
Excel
I'm curious about the criteria as well. Pat Fitzgerald is a great coach, better than 42 in my opinion but oh well... Other thoughts, I get that the Big East sucks but if we're going to say that Brady Hoke is an amazing coach for getting UM to a BCS Bowl and beating a Virginia Tech team can't we also say the same about a West Virginia coach who did the same and beat a team by 40+ points that beat that VT team twice...Holgorsen should be better than 44 and at least better than Dabo Swiney. Art Briles also looked low but how much of his success was due to RG3? I feel the same about Terry Bowden at 76... I'd like to see how they approach assistants who did stellar jobs at large schools and are now going to be HC's...like Chow, Chryst, Johnson, Malzahn and Pelini. They weren't kind to them in the rankings. Also a couple big name programs, or programs that can do better, are stuck with pretty low ranking coaches and it'll be interesting to see how it pans out...Derek Dooley at UT is at 99...Will Muschamp at Florida is 59 and its a different situation with Penn State and Arkansas but O'Brien is at 62 and Smith is at 74. California is either going to have to say that they're not a contender and drop Tedford's salary or cut the guy and get to searching...either way he's way over payed. They're too kind to coaches of mid-major...or formerly mid-major schools...TCU, Boise, BYU, and Utah...just my opinion though. Finally its funny to see how far Chizik has fallen, coach of the year and a National Championship last year to 36. Quote Link to comment

HuskerShark
Holgorsen should be better than 44 and at least better than Dabo Swiney. In good time, my friend. I can see why they didn't put him ahead of Dabo because he has only been a head coach for 1 year, and he had a few off-the-field issues prior to the season. Holgorsen is a mastermind, and if WVU can put together a respectable defense, Holgorsen's offense will win them a lot of football games. Quote Link to comment
