kreutz35
Do we have to use paint? Aren't a lot teams just incorporating the basic designs into the actual turf? Compare Ohio State's red to ours. Theirs looks pretty. Ours looks weird and purple-y. I also agree to ditch the alternating greens that we took from Autzen. I really like the alternating turf! Quote Link to comment
HuskerT
Glad this topic came up. I don't have that big of an issue about the N, but I can't stand the alternating green turf. I also don't know if it was just me or if the lighting is really bad. Seems unusually dark on tv. Quote Link to comment
sd'sker
after re-watching the game, i think we might need to freshen up the field where we shoved stave's face into it. 1 Quote Link to comment
Polarhusker
So much pessimism on this board. I can't wait for us to win this thing and hear everybody eat their words. That would never happen. everyone would say that the team we just played was the crappiest team of the conference. Quote Link to comment

HuskerShark
Same here. And I just realized... Yeah, that N looks pretty much like dog crap. Quote Link to comment
HUSKER 37
Wondering to myself what kind of paint you could use on those blades of uh..plastic that wouldn't rub off the first time you skidded your pants on it. Sure wish there was some way to get one of those darker green 15' stripes in my backyard without the old tire smell. Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
Makes sense tho. I would assume they want a new carpet with the opening of the addition. I'm sure they'll do something to spiff it up to. I'm sure "Osborne Field" will be put back on somewhere, unless he's extremely addament about not again. And hopefully they'll spiff up the BIG logos as well with some color. Kansas's and Texas's fields look very sharp. I'm indifferent to the alternating green. Quote Link to comment

Nobody
I guess it's not like we were busy doing other things this week.. see what I did there? Quote Link to comment
southernoregonhusker
On top of the paint being so faded, I also noticed watching the dvr after i got home last night that there were a lot of players with turf itself on their shirts. I know it is getting replaced, I just hope it lasts through the year. It's starting to come apart. Those were tire chunks. It's not unusual to see it, but a lot of it found its way on shirts last night. I wondered at the time if the field was wet. Quote Link to comment

These pieces were green, it looked like the "grass" coming apart and sticking to the shirts. I know about the rubber, it's done that since new. As far as wet goes, we havent had rain in 3 years. Do they actually put some water down like they used to do with astroturf, where it actually plays better a little damp? Quote Link to comment
