MT949597
What do people not like about PJ Smith? I think he's a really solid athlete back there making plays. Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
That was a huge hit Bell leveled on PJ. I'm surprised he got up from that lol. Someone needs to make a gif out of that Quote Link to comment
HuskerNationNick
I think Smith commented earlier this week to paraphrase, "Bell is a big guy, you have to set your shoulders and get ready to be hit in the chest. You get run over, hang on and wait for your friends to show up and help". Kid sold out to make the stops tonight. Next year we are THIN at safety. Juco maybe? Jonathan Rose will supposedly be starting Safety next year. Quote Link to comment
Eric the Red
Bell knocked him off his rocker. He did jump right up afterward. I was surprised Spielman complimented his technique. For those of you who are old enough, a compliment from Spielman is worth something. Dude was as solid a LB as I have ever seen. His discipline and technique was just about perfect. Everyone gets their bell rung in college. It's not like high school. Those that might be all American their senior seasons had their growing pains earlier in their career. In other words it's not as nearly embassassing to get knocked on your ass in college or above as when you were younger. Quote Link to comment
The Red & White Knight
I remember pretty clearly the husker sports network saying how it wasn't actually that big of a hit. PJ, rather, was already off his footting, so upon impact he was ready to fall back. THat's what I saw when I saw it happen live, but, I'm watching the game again now, so, we'll see.
