Hedley Lamarr
Decided to throw together some numbers for people to think about. When Frank was fired it was due to falling behind. We won games but when we faced good teams we got humiliated. It shows the Callahan debacle. Callahan actually took over a more talent depleted roster than Bo by a mile. Bo was left with loads of talent that needed to be coached correctly. Average Margin of Defeat 2012 23.3 2011- 19.75 2010- 6.25 2009- 6.25 2008- 20.0 2007- 22.86 2006- 9.8 2005- 13 2004- 18.5 2003- 23.3 2002- 16.57 2001- 24.5 2000- 9 1999- 4 1998- 6.25 1997- 0 1996- 14.5 1995- 0 1994- 0 1993- 2 1992- 12.3 1991- 18.5 Quote Link to comment
Hedley Lamarr
Record against BCS teams last 5 years 34-19 win percentage of 64% Every 10 BCS teams Bo plays he basically wins 6/10...this includes the KUs and Minnesotas of the world Quote Link to comment
Hedley Lamarr
8-11 vs top 25 teams in those 5 years 8 of his 19 losses were against unranked teams 42% of losses are to unranked teams Quote Link to comment

JTrain
So unless we lose to LSU or Georgia by about two touchdowns or less, we will end up with the worst avg MOD since? 1950 something? Ever? Quote Link to comment

Ever? Yeah if we lose by say 28 we will have the worst since before Devaney. We are also breaking records in yards allowed etc left and right Quote Link to comment
hskrpwr13
And that's really the problem with the losses. Bo's W/L record is good, and not many coaches have consectutive 9-win season, etc. But each loss seems to almost be worth 2-3 losses. because they're so embarrassing. This is the Bo conundrum. Whistlebritches
I'm so glad someone made this thread because while I was walking the dog this morning I was thinking of looking this up. For me, it's less about losing and more about getting blown out. Losses happen, even with really good teams, but how often do you see top 5 teams getting run out of the stadium by 4+ touchdowns? Hedley Lamarr
You don't see that....Bo's numbers are so padded by inferior competition. BCS teams are a measuring stick. We are pedestrian and average in that regard. We have a losing record against top 25 and almost half our losses are to unranked teams Quote Link to comment
FriendlyLurker2007
so does that mean you are on the "fire bo" wagon? lol Quote Link to comment

He's also won his division three out of the last four years, something which neither Solich or Callahan did (they managed only one CCG appearance each). The blowout losses are certainly troubling, but you have to look at both sides of the coin. Quote Link to comment
HuskerInLostWages
so does that mean you are on the "fire bo" wagon? lol I haven't been myself as of yet, but one more loss like last night and i'm on that wagon unless changes are made. It looks like we have Georgia for our bowl game, so basically I should just go ahead and jump on now as we're going to get murdered. Quote Link to comment

Bo has gone 3 of 5 two of those were thanks to the B12 North Beat ranked okie state in 03 Beat ranked ISU in 05 Beat Ta&m in 06 Frank inherited Toms boys went to the title game but slowly become average with poor recruiting. Callahan faced an uphill battle as he had no talent to work with. He loaded the shelves in Lincoln and left it for Bo. Bo has now depleted our roster talent like Frank. So here we sit all broken hearted, tried to poo but only farted Quote Link to comment

4skers89
With two blowout losses this year i thought it would be interesting to see if we outscored our opponents this year. If my math is correct, we outscored our opponents 456 to 341. Thank goodness for the Arky and potato states! Quote Link to comment
