BigRedBuster
Getting the best coaches is important. BUT, what I find more important is developing HS talent in this area. Recruiting hot beds like Florida, Texas and California simply run their HS football completely different. It allows those kids to develop more before they reach the college level. Interestingly, look at the areas with the dominant college programs. These same kids want to stay close to home and play so their families and friends can watch them. Now, I have no dream of Nebraska HS football becoming anything like Texas. Not even sure I want it to. BUT, some simple things like spring ball and summer 7 on 7 leagues can go a long ways to helping out. Quote Link to comment
Duke Silver
With all of the money we and other schools are starting to cash in at some point we need to join the arms race of the SEC. They aren't afraid to go after anyone and give them anything to get the job done. Helll they even poach each others coaches. At some point the B1G has to start investing the money they are raking in. Personally I would love to see NU get ahead of the curve by going out and poaching the best coordinators and position coaches and start writing checks. Granted I don't think Bo would go along with this, but eventually it's going to have to be done. Why not be the ones to start it? Really? ATM punches bama in the face@ home the first year in the SEC. Shut off the ESPN. Quote Link to comment
